On reported capacity, the POCO X8 Power 5G has the larger battery by a wide margin: 10,000mAh versus 5,000mAh for the Edge 70 8GB/256GB, or 4,800mAh for the 12GB/512GB configuration. POCO India teaser details reported by Gadgets 360 also cite 100W wired charging and 27W wired reverse charging. These are capacity and charging specifications, not independent battery-life test results; they do not establish how long either phone lasts in everyday use.

The Edge 70’s documented trade-off is portability: Motorola lists it at 159g. The cited POCO Power sources do not establish its weight, so the battery-size difference alone cannot tell you how much larger or heavier it is. What are the India prices and the reported difference?
The available India prices are reported listing snapshots, not guaranteed current offers. The comparison page does not clearly identify the Edge 70 storage configuration or POCO variant behind its headline figures, so subtracting those numbers does not produce a universal price difference.

At face value, the comparison page’s POCO figure is ₹3,824 above its Edge 70 figure. That is only arithmetic on two reported listings with unclear matching configurations, not a like-for-like price premium. The 8GB/256GB POCO listing is ₹3,000 above its reported 8GB/128GB listing. These are distinct models. Xiaomi’s official global page is for POCO X8, whose listed battery is 8,340mAh and processor is Snapdragon 6s Gen 4. Those specifications are not evidence for the POCO X8 Power 5G and should not be copied into its comparison. Check the model name on the retailer page and box, especially when a listing or search result shortens the name.

Choose based on battery capacity and charging
The POCO X8 Power 5G is the more compelling candidate if your priority is a very large stated battery and faster wired charging. Its 10,000mAh and 100W figures are reported from POCO teasers and secondary listings, however, rather than a complete primary specification sheet in the available sources.

The Edge 70 is the better-documented option in this comparison. Motorola specifies a 159g handset, a 6.67-inch 2712 × 1220 display, two 50MP rear cameras and both wired and wireless charging.
