The Motorola Edge 70 Pro 5G has the stronger published hardware sheet for display, camera range, battery capacity and charging. The Nothing Phone (4b) is a lower-priced option in T3’s reported UK and euro launch figures, but Motorola has not announced a universal price, so there is no reliable like-for-like price gap to quote. The right choice depends on your local price, the exact regional model and whether you value the Edge’s extra camera and charging hardware.

Motorola Edge 70 Pro vs Nothing Phone (4b): key specs

The comparison below combines Motorola’s official specifications with details reported by T3 for Nothing. Nothing’s official product page confirms fewer technical details, so T3-sourced figures are identified rather than presented as manufacturer-confirmed specifications.

Front camera and video 50MP autofocus front camera. Motorola lists 4K HDR10+ capture at up to 60fps/30fps in its announcement; its support specification page also lists 4K 120fps capture. Price and availability Motorola announced a rollout in select markets across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Asia-Pacific, but did not give a universal price. Motorola announcement T3 reported £299 / €329, with UK drops from 11 July and general sale from 17 July. These are secondary-source, market-specific launch figures, not a current local quote. Which phone has the better display?

On the published specifications, Motorola leads in refresh rate and stated peak brightness: its 144Hz, up-to-5,200-nit display compares with T3’s reported 120Hz and up-to-2,000-nit figures for Nothing. Those brightness figures are manufacturer or publication specifications, not a matched independent measurement, and peak brightness alone does not establish which screen looks better in everyday use.

How do their cameras differ?

The Edge 70 Pro’s clearest hardware advantage is camera versatility. Its dedicated periscope camera provides 3.5× optical zoom, alongside a main camera with OIS and a 122° ultrawide. Nothing’s official page confirms a 50MP main camera; T3 adds an 8MP ultrawide. Megapixel counts do not establish photo quality, and the available sources do not provide matched camera tests for these phones.

Video specifications are not fully comparable from the cited information. Motorola publishes a 50MP autofocus selfie camera and multiple 4K capture modes, while Nothing confirms 4K video without a corresponding front-camera resolution or matching mode details in the cited material. Check the full regional specification sheets if a specific video mode matters to you.

Battery, charging and performance

Motorola lists a 6,500mAh typical battery (6,300mAh rated), with up to 90W wired and 15W wireless charging. T3 reports a 5,200mAh battery and 33W charging for Nothing. Capacity and charging wattage do not predict real-world endurance or charging time on their own; no matched battery test for the two phones is established here. Motorola’s charger is sold separately.

The listed chips are MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme for Motorola and Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 for Nothing, with the latter reported by T3. Motorola specifies up to 12GB LPDDR5X memory, while the cited official Nothing configuration is 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. These specifications do not establish a measured performance winner: the available sources do not provide comparable benchmark results.

What is the actual price difference?

A precise price difference cannot be established from the available figures. T3 reported £299 / €329 for Nothing, while Motorola’s global announcement directs readers to local teams for price and availability instead of publishing one universal Edge 70 Pro price. The currencies also represent different markets, so they should not be compared as though they were one price pair.

For a useful comparison, check both phones in the same country and currency, with equivalent storage, condition and seller terms, on the same date. Separate launch prices from current sale prices, and confirm stock and regional model details before buying. Motorola says the Edge 70 Pro will roll out in select markets across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Asia-Pacific; availability is not necessarily identical across those regions.

Which one should you choose?

Choose the Motorola Edge 70 Pro if

  • You want a dedicated telephoto camera with 3.5× optical zoom, rather than relying on the main camera and digital crop.
  • A 144Hz display, larger stated battery capacity, faster wired charging or wireless charging is important to you.
  • You need the listed IP68/IP69 and MIL-STD-810H ratings, subject to confirmation for your local model.

Choose the Nothing Phone (4b) if

  • Its current local price is meaningfully lower than the Edge 70 Pro at comparable storage and condition.
  • You want the 8GB/128GB configuration confirmed on Nothing’s product page and Nothing OS with its Essential AI tools.
  • The cited camera and display specifications meet your needs, and you do not require the Edge’s dedicated periscope zoom or wireless charging.

Check the exact regional model before buying

Regional variations can affect specifications and network compatibility. Motorola’s support page lists Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, Wi-Fi 6E and sub-6 5G band information for its regional model and warns that specifications may vary by market. Confirm the exact SKU, supported 5G bands and ingress rating for your country; do not assume a model sold elsewhere has identical connectivity or features. Motorola regional support specifications
