Which display suits you better?
Choose Motorola for more screen area and resolution
Motorola lists a 6.8-inch QHD+ AMOLED panel with a 1440 × 3168 resolution and refresh rate up to 144Hz. That gives it the larger, higher-resolution display on paper, a sensible advantage if you prioritize screen space for video, reading or games. Motorola’s announcement also advertises 7,000-nit peak brightness; that is a manufacturer claim, not an independently measured comparison with the iQOO. The iQOO 15R has a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display at 2750 × 1260. Its listed 130Hz figure applies to normal scenes. iQOO separately lists 360Hz gaming touch sampling, which describes touch input response rather than how often the display refreshes. The smaller diagonal may be preferable if you want a less expansive screen, but the specifications alone do not establish one-handed comfort.

Battery and charging: capacity is not endurance
Motorola lists a 7,100mAh battery, 90W wired charging and 25W Qi2 magnetic wireless charging. iQOO lists a 7,600mAh typical battery and 100W charging on its India specifications page. These capacity and charging figures are specifications, not comparable tests of battery life or charging time; actual results depend on use and conditions.
The clearest feature distinction is wireless charging: Motorola advertises Qi2 magnetic charging, while the cited iQOO specifications list 100W charging without a wireless-charging claim. If you expect to use magnetic wireless charging, check accessory compatibility and the live regional listing before buying.

Performance: same listed chipset, no proven speed winner
Both companies list the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. That shared platform is a useful starting point, but it does not prove identical benchmark scores, thermal behavior or sustained gaming performance. Motorola says the Edge 70 Max uses a vapor chamber with liquid metal; its claims about heat management are manufacturer statements, not independent comparative testing. There is no controlled head-to-head performance test established here, so choose based on features rather than assuming one is faster.
Storage and configurations
For the India models covered by the cited listings, Motorola offers 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB configurations. iQOO lists 8GB or 12GB of RAM with 256GB or 512GB of storage. If you need 512GB, iQOO is the only one of these two with that listed option; if 256GB is enough, both offer multiple configurations.

Cameras: compare listed hardware, not assumed photo quality
The 91mobiles comparison reports the Motorola rear setup as a 50MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP sensor. iQOO’s official page lists a 50MP Sony LYT-700V main camera with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide, plus a 32MP front camera. These specifications describe hardware, not which phone takes better photos or video. No controlled camera-quality comparison is established, so sample images and hands-on testing would be needed to judge that.
Software support: one duration is officially listed, the other is not
Motorola’s India product listing specifies Android 16, up to three years of OS upgrades and up to five years of security patches. iQOO’s official India specification page lists Origin OS 6.0 but does not state a support duration. The 91mobiles comparison reports four years of OS updates and six years of security updates for iQOO; treat that as a secondary-source report rather than an officially confirmed promise unless iQOO verifies it through a current support or launch source.
