The Motorola Edge 60 Pro and OPPO Reno16 5G make different trade-offs: Motorola’s cited APAC specifications include a larger 6.7-inch display and wireless charging, while OPPO India’s Reno16 5G CPH2865 offers a 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom and a larger typical battery. The OPPO model has no NFC or eSIM. These are manufacturer-listed specifications, not independent test results; confirm your country and exact model before comparing prices or buying.
Which models are being compared?
This is a regional comparison, not a universal specification or price ranking. Motorola’s figures below come from its APAC support listing, while the OPPO figures are for the India-market Reno16 5G, model CPH2865. In India, OPPO also lists a separate Reno16c 5G, model CPH2859. OPPO says release timing, pricing, and availability vary by market; its global announcement also describes a compact 6.32-inch Reno16. Check the model number and local specification page rather than assuming every phone called Reno16 is identical. OPPO Global’s June 25, 2026 announcement states that “Pricing, regional availability and release timing will vary by market.”

Motorola likewise notes that specifications can vary by market. Its APAC support page lists Android 16, but that should not be treated as confirmation that every regional retail configuration ships with the same software. The comparison uses Motorola’s APAC specifications and OPPO India’s Reno16 5G details.

Where the Edge 60 Pro has an advantage on paper
Display size and wireless charging
The Motorola listing specifies a 6.7-inch display, compared with the India Reno16’s 16.05cm (about 6.32-inch) panel. It also lists 15W wireless charging, alongside 90W wired charging. OPPO’s cited Reno16 details list 80W SUPERVOOC charging and do not list wireless charging.
Published update commitment and NFC
Motorola’s APAC specification page states three OS upgrades and four years of security patches. OPPO’s India page identifies ColorOS 16.0 but does not give an equivalent update commitment, so the published information does not support a like-for-like longevity promise. Motorola lists NFC; OPPO says the India CPH2865 does not support NFC or eSIM. If you rely on contactless payments, NFC accessories, or eSIM service, verify compatibility before choosing the OPPO model.
Where the Reno16 5G has an advantage on paper
Telephoto camera hardware
OPPO lists a 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom, alongside two other 50MP rear cameras and a 50MP front camera. Motorola lists a 10MP telephoto camera and 50MP main and ultrawide/macro cameras. These figures describe camera hardware, not comparative photo quality; megapixels and zoom specifications alone cannot establish which phone produces better images.

OPPO specifies 6700mAh typical and 6490mAh rated for the India Reno16 5G. Motorola lists 6000mAh. The capacity figures do not predict real-world runtime without comparable testing, and the typical and rated OPPO numbers are distinct measures rather than interchangeable claims.

Stated ingress-protection ratings
OPPO lists IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K, while Motorola lists IP68/IP69 and MIL-STD-810H. Those labels are not identical guarantees: they refer to specific test conditions, and a rating should not be read as permission to deliberately immerse or expose a phone to water. Follow each manufacturer’s care and warranty guidance.

| Phone and configuration | Price shown | Context |
|---|---|---|
| OPPO Reno16 5G, 8GB/256GB | ₹66,999 | OPPO India-listed price, inclusive of taxes, as of August 31, 2026 |
| OPPO Reno16 5G, 12GB/256GB | ₹72,999 | OPPO India-listed price, inclusive of taxes, as of August 31, 2026 |
| Motorola Edge 60 Pro | ₹33,999 displayed; ₹40,999 MRP | Motorola India listing accessed October 7, 2026; product showed “Currently out of stock” |
The listed figures are from different configurations and page conditions, and Motorola’s displayed price was not attached to an in-stock offer when checked. They therefore do not establish a current purchasable price gap. Check local stock, seller, warranty, configuration, and final price before deciding. OPPO notes that its India details and pricing are subject to change.
Which phone should you shortlist?
- Consider the Edge 60 Pro if a larger display, wireless charging, NFC, or Motorola’s stated APAC update commitment fits your priorities—and the exact regional model is available at a price you can verify.
- Consider the Reno16 5G CPH2865 if the listed 3.5x optical telephoto, larger stated battery capacity, or its India-market camera configuration is more important to you, and the lack of NFC and eSIM is acceptable.
- Do not choose from the price figures alone. The cited Motorola India listing was out of stock, while OPPO’s prices are dated India listings; availability and prices can change.
Before ordering, confirm the country, model number, RAM/storage configuration, local network and payment compatibility, seller authorization, and warranty terms. In particular, distinguish India’s Reno16 5G CPH2865 from Reno16c 5G CPH2859.
