Motorola Edge 60 Pro vs OPPO Reno15: Which Fits Your Budget and Priorities?

The Motorola Edge 60 Pro is listed below the OPPO Reno15 5G’s official India launch prices, but the figures are not a like-for-like snapshot: Motorola’s page showed the phone out of stock, while OPPO’s prices are launch prices from January 2026. On specifications, Motorola lists a sharper 1.5K quad-curved display and wireless charging; OPPO lists a dedicated telephoto camera and a higher battery capacity. Those differences identify trade-offs, not a proven winner in speed, photos, endurance or value.

India prices: the Edge 60 Pro is listed lower, but availability matters

Motorola India’s product page displayed the Edge 60 Pro at ₹33,999 against an MRP of ₹40,999 when accessed on 7 October 2026. The same page marked it “Currently out of stock, stay tuned!”, so that displayed price does not establish that a buyer can order it at that amount now. Motorola listed 8GB/256GB, 12GB/256GB and 16GB/512GB configurations. Motorola India’s Edge 60 Pro product page

OPPO India announced the Reno15 5G on 8 January 2026, with sales starting 13 January. Its official launch prices were ₹45,999 for 8GB/256GB, ₹48,999 for 12GB/256GB and ₹53,999 for 12GB/512GB. These are announcement prices, not verified current street prices. OPPO India’s launch announcement

Which display is the better fit?

Motorola specifies a 6.7-inch 1.5K pOLED panel at 2712 × 1220, with a quad-curved design and refresh rates up to 120Hz. OPPO specifies an AMOLED panel measuring 16.74cm diagonally, with 2760 × 1256 resolution and refresh rates up to 120Hz. The resolution figures are close, while Motorola explicitly describes its panel as 1.5K and quad-curved and OPPO labels its display FHD+.

Brightness figures need care: Motorola’s 4500 nits is a claimed peak, whereas OPPO gives typical brightness and typical high-brightness-mode figures. They are different measurement labels, not a controlled comparison of outdoor visibility. Both manufacturers list up to 120Hz; that specification alone does not establish identical behavior in every app or setting.

Camera hardware: a telephoto lens is the clearest distinction

OPPO explicitly lists three rear cameras: a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP telephoto camera with OIS and an 8MP ultrawide. That gives the Reno15 a named telephoto option in its specification sheet. Motorola identifies the Edge 60 Pro’s 50MP Sony LYTIA 700C main camera with OIS and lists additional rear camera hardware, but the cited material does not provide enough detail here to make a full lens-by-lens match. OPPO also specifies a 50MP front camera with a 100° field of view; an exact comparable Motorola front-camera detail is not established here.

  • CONNECTIVITY- Global unlocked model compatible with AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon; MVNO activation may require IMEI registration. Carrier compatibility depends on network bands and policies.
  • DUAL SIM – Supports one physical Nano-SIM plus eSIM.
  • POWERFUL 4NM PERFORMANCE – Enjoy fast, smooth performance with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor and Mali-G615 MC2 GPU, designed for responsive apps, gaming, streaming, and everyday use.
  • EFFORTLESS MULTITASKING – Up to 12GB of RAM with RAM Boost delivers faster app launches, fluid multitasking, and seamless switching between applications.
  • GENEROUS EXPANDABLE STORAGE – Store more apps, movies, music, photos, and videos with up to 512GB of built-in storage, plus support for microSD cards up to 1TB. MicroSD card not included

These are hardware descriptions, not evidence that one phone takes better pictures. The manufacturer specifications do not settle daylight detail, indoor noise, portrait rendering, zoom quality or video stabilization in real use. The listed Reno15 rear-video modes include 4K at 30fps and 60fps, with EIS/OIS support at those frame rates; do not assume the Motorola has equivalent limits without its complete mode-specific video specifications.

Battery capacity and charging: numbers do not predict endurance

Motorola lists a 6000mAh battery, 90W TurboPower wired charging, 15W wireless charging and 5W wired power sharing. OPPO lists the Reno15 battery as 6500mAh typical and 6335mAh rated, with up to 80W SUPERVOOC charging. The stated capacities and maximum wired charging rates are manufacturer specifications; they do not establish which phone lasts longer or reaches a full charge sooner. That depends on testing conditions and usage, and no comparable endurance or charging-time test is established here.

Updates and durability

Motorola explicitly promises three OS upgrades and four years of security maintenance releases for the Edge 60 Pro. A comparable Reno15 support duration is not established by the cited OPPO specification details, so there is not enough evidence here to compare their update lifetimes.

Motorola specifies IP68 and IP69 dust/water protection and MIL-STD-810H certification. The cited OPPO details do not confirm a comparable official protection rating; that is an evidence limit, not proof that the Reno15 has no protection.

Which one should you choose?

  • Consider the Edge 60 Pro if its current price and stock work for you, you want the specified quad-curved 1.5K display, wireless charging, or Motorola’s stated update commitment. Its cited India page showed an out-of-stock listing at the displayed price.
  • Consider the Reno15 5G if a dedicated telephoto camera is important to your intended shooting, or if you want the higher stated battery capacity. Verify the current price for the configuration you want; the quoted amounts are January 2026 launch prices.
  • Do not choose on chipset names alone: no benchmark evidence here establishes a speed winner between Dimensity 8350 Extreme and Snapdragon 7 Gen 4.
  • Do not choose on camera or battery claims alone: the specifications identify hardware and rated figures, not comparative photo results or real-world runtime.
