The Motorola Edge 60 Fusion is the stronger fit for shoppers who prioritize a sharper pOLED display, lighter design, more listed base storage, microSD expansion and faster charging capability. The Moto g max has a slightly larger LCD and a larger stated battery capacity. A 91mobiles page displayed ₹20,900 for the Edge 60 Fusion and ₹27,599 for the Moto g max when accessed on October 5, 2026, but that is a third-party snapshot—not a verified local offer or a like-for-like price comparison.

Which phone has the better display?
The Edge 60 Fusion has the higher-resolution screen: its 6.67-inch pOLED panel is 2712 × 1220, compared with 2400 × 1080 on the Moto g max’s 6.72-inch LCD. Both support a 120 Hz refresh rate. The Edge’s pOLED technology and higher pixel count favor contrast and detail; the g max gives you a marginally larger screen. Motorola’s cited specs do not establish how the panels compare in a controlled brightness or color test.

Battery capacity and charging
The Moto g max has a 7000 mAh battery and 30 W TurboPower charging. Motorola lists 5200 mAh and up to 68 W charging capability for the Edge 60 Fusion. The Edge’s stated 68 W capability requires a Motorola TurboPower charger, which Motorola says is sold separately. Battery capacity and charging ratings alone do not establish real-world endurance or charging time.

Motorola advertises battery life of up to 63 hours for the Moto g max and up to 34 hours for the Edge 60 Fusion. These are manufacturer claims, not independent tests; Motorola’s cited listings do not provide a common test method that would make the figures a direct comparison.
Storage, memory and performance
Motorola UK lists the Edge 60 Fusion with 8 GB of RAM, 256 GB of internal storage and microSD expansion up to 1 TB. Motorola US lists the Moto g max with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, with no expandable storage listed on the cited comparison page. Those are the listed configurations, not a guarantee that every country sells the same variants.

The listed processors are MediaTek Dimensity 7400 for the Edge and Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 for the g max. The model names and memory figures do not by themselves establish which phone will feel faster in a particular workload. A 91mobiles comparison includes benchmark results, but those are third-party test figures rather than Motorola specifications, and the result of a benchmark is not a prediction of every user’s experience.
Build, water resistance and durability
The Edge 60 Fusion is listed at 180.1 g and IP68; the Moto g max is listed at 213 g with an IP64 water-resistant design. These ratings are stated on Motorola pages for different markets, so they should not be treated as results from a direct test of the two phones.

For the Edge 60 Fusion, Motorola describes submersion up to 1.5 metres in still, fresh water for up to 30 minutes under specified test conditions. It also says the phone is “Not waterproof” and that resistance can decrease with normal wear. IP ratings do not make either phone waterproof. The g max’s MIL-STD-810H label is not a guarantee of a particular outcome for an individual device.
Software versions and update commitments
Motorola lists Android 15 for the Edge 60 Fusion and Android 16 for the Moto g max. 91mobiles reports three OS-update years and four security-update years for the Edge, versus two OS-update years and three security-update years for the g max. Those update durations are third-party reporting, not a promise established by the cited Motorola specification pages; confirm the policy for the exact regional model before buying.

Which one should you choose?
- Choose the Edge 60 Fusion if you value a higher-resolution pOLED display, a lighter listed weight, more listed base storage, microSD expansion or higher charging capability.
- Consider the Moto g max if your priorities are the larger stated battery capacity or its slightly larger LCD. Its listed battery capacity does not guarantee longer endurance in your usage.
- Compare local listings before deciding if price is the deciding factor: the ₹6,699 difference is only what the cited third-party page displayed on October 5, 2026, not a universal price gap.
For camera context, 91mobiles lists 50 MP main and 32 MP front cameras for both phones, with a 13 MP ultrawide on the Edge 60 Fusion and an 8 MP ultrawide on the Moto g max. These are third-party listed specifications, not a camera-quality comparison or a hands-on assessment.
