The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is the better fit if you prioritize a 144 Hz display and faster rated wired charging. The Edge 60 Pro has a larger rated battery and, on the cited EMEA specifications, IP68/IP69 protection plus a stated software-support commitment. Both have 6.7-inch, 2712 × 1220 pOLED screens. There is no reliable current price difference to report without matching the country, storage configuration, condition, and purchase date.

Motorola Edge 50 Ultra vs Edge 60 Pro: specifications

These specifications come from Motorola’s regional product and support pages, which list different configurations for some markets. Treat memory, storage, Android version, and wireless charging as region-specific rather than universal.

Specification Motorola Edge 50 Ultra Motorola Edge 60 Pro
Processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 (Motorola US specifications) MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Extreme on one EMEA page (Motorola EMEA specifications)
Memory and storage 12 GB/512 GB on a US support page; 16 GB/1 TB on a UK page (Motorola UK support) One EMEA page lists 8 GB or 12 GB with 256 GB; another lists 12 GB/512 GB (Motorola EMEA specifications; Motorola EMEA support)
Display 6.7-inch, 2712 × 1220 pOLED, 144 Hz; UK page lists 2,800 nits peak (Motorola UK support) 6.7-inch, 2712 × 1220 pOLED, 120 Hz; EMEA page lists 4,500 nits peak (Motorola EMEA specifications)
Battery and charging 4,500 mAh; 125 W wired; up to 50 W wireless on the US page (Motorola US specifications) 6,000 mAh; 90 W wired and 15 W wireless on the cited EMEA page (Motorola EMEA specifications)
Durability IP68 listed in Motorola materials (Motorola US specifications) IP68/IP69 on an EMEA page; another page also lists MIL-STD-810H (Motorola EMEA specifications; Motorola EMEA support)
Software information Android 14 listed on cited pages; an equivalent support duration is not established in those materials (Motorola US specifications) One cited regional page lists Android 16, three Android OS upgrades, and four years of security maintenance releases; another lists Android 15 (Motorola EMEA specifications; Motorola EMEA support)

The peak-brightness figures above are manufacturer-listed values; the cited pages do not establish matching test conditions. The two chipsets are different platforms, and the specifications alone do not show which phone performs better in comparable real-world use.

Which is better for battery life and charging?

The Edge 60 Pro has the larger rated capacity: 6,000 mAh versus 4,500 mAh for the Edge 50 Ultra. That makes it the stronger pick on battery capacity alone, but capacity is not a battery-life test. Screen use, signal conditions, software, and other factors affect how long either phone lasts; no standardized head-to-head endurance result is established here.

The Edge 50 Ultra has the higher listed wired charging rate, 125 W versus 90 W. Wireless charging rates differ in the cited regional specifications too: Motorola lists up to 50 W for the Edge 50 Ultra on its US page and 15 W for the Edge 60 Pro on its EMEA page. These are rated charging specifications, not measured charging times. A rate listed for one region should not be assumed for every regional model.

Display: 144 Hz or a 120 Hz panel?

Both phones have a 6.7-inch-class pOLED display at 2712 × 1220 resolution. The Edge 50 Ultra is listed at 144 Hz; the Edge 60 Pro at 120 Hz. A higher refresh-rate specification may matter to buyers who value smoother supported motion, but it does not by itself establish a difference in image quality or everyday responsiveness.

Motorola’s cited pages also give different peak-brightness figures: 2,800 nits for the Edge 50 Ultra on a UK page and 4,500 nits for the Edge 60 Pro on an EMEA page. Because matching measurement conditions are not supplied, those figures should not be treated as a controlled brightness comparison.

Camera comparison: what the listed specifications establish

Motorola’s 2024 launch announcement lists the Edge 50 Ultra with a 50 MP main camera, a 64 MP 3× optical telephoto camera, a 50 MP ultrawide/macro camera, and a 50 MP autofocus selfie camera (Motorola’s Edge 50 series launch announcement).

The retrieved Motorola Edge 60 Pro specifications confirm a 50 MP ultrawide camera and a telephoto camera, but do not provide a complete sensor-by-sensor set that supports a direct comparison of every camera. Megapixel counts and camera labels alone cannot establish which phone takes better photos; the available specifications do not support a total camera-quality winner.

Durability and software support

Motorola lists IP68 for the Edge 50 Ultra. The cited EMEA Edge 60 Pro page lists IP68/IP69, while another regional support page also lists MIL-STD-810H. These ratings are not a promise that a phone is impervious to water, dust, or damage in every situation; check Motorola’s terms for the exact model and region before relying on them.

The cited Edge 60 Pro EMEA specifications state three Android OS upgrades and four years of security maintenance releases. However, Motorola’s regional pages conflict on the Edge 60 Pro’s listed Android version—one says Android 16 and another Android 15. The cited Edge 50 Ultra pages list Android 14, but do not establish a comparable support duration. For a purchase decision, confirm the installed Android version and remaining support terms for the exact regional SKU rather than assuming the listings describe the same variant.

Price difference: compare the same market and configuration

A current price difference cannot be established from the available figures. Motorola announced a starting MSRP of €999 for the Edge 50 Ultra in selected markets in 2024; that is historical launch pricing, not a current retail price or a like-for-like comparison (Motorola’s 2024 launch announcement).

To determine which costs less where you live, compare the same country and purchase date, equivalent storage and memory, warranty coverage, and condition (new, refurbished, or used). Do not compare a launch MSRP with a current sale listing or prices from different regions and treat the difference as a current price gap.

Which phone should you choose?

  • Choose the Edge 50 Ultra if its 144 Hz display and higher listed wired charging rate matter most, or if the specific local storage configuration suits you.
  • Consider the Edge 60 Pro if you prioritize its larger rated battery, the cited EMEA IP68/IP69 listing, or its stated OS-upgrade and security-maintenance commitment. Confirm the software details for your regional model.
  • Compare local listings before deciding if price is the deciding factor; the available historical Edge 50 Ultra launch MSRP does not establish today’s price difference.

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
