Motorola says specifications can vary by market. The UK Fusion page lists a different chipset and battery from the APAC page, so use the local product listing or exact model details rather than assuming one global configuration. Motorola’s brightness figures are peak manufacturer specifications and do not establish equivalent measured brightness in ordinary use. The listed refresh-rate ceilings also do not show how long either phone sustains that rate.
Which phone makes more sense for your priorities?
Choose the Edge 50 Pro for charging flexibility and zoom
Its listed 125 W wired rate is higher than the Fusion’s 68 W, and the Pro also lists wireless charging up to 50 W and 10 W wireless power sharing. Actual charging time depends on conditions and compatible equipment; the wattage figures alone are not a timed comparison. Its dedicated 3× optical telephoto gives it a camera option the Fusion’s listed rear hardware does not include.

Choose the Edge 70 Fusion for listed battery capacity and a larger screen
The APAC Fusion specification lists a 7000 mAh battery, compared with 4500 mAh for the APAC Edge 50 Pro. That is a capacity comparison, not a promise of a particular number of hours: Motorola’s specifications do not provide comparable independent endurance results. The Fusion is also listed with a slightly larger, higher-resolution display. Its 50 MP main-camera resolution should not be treated as proof of better photos; sensor, lens, processing and shooting conditions matter too.
Check the local Fusion chipset before weighing performance
Motorola’s APAC page names Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, while its UK page names Snapdragon 7s Gen 3. Neither listing provides comparative benchmark results against the Edge 50 Pro’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3. Confirm the exact regional model and do not infer which phone is faster from these names alone.

Price difference: India listings and launch offer
On 7 October 2026, Motorola India’s store listed the Edge 70 Fusion from ₹30,999 across several configurations. Motorola’s Edge 50 Pro product page displayed ₹27,999 for the 12/256 GB configuration but marked it out of stock. These are different listing bases, and the displayed figures do not establish a like-for-like price difference; check current stock, storage and offers before comparing totals.

For historical context, Motorola India announced an effective Edge 70 Fusion starting price of ₹24,999 on 6 March 2026, inclusive of offers and discounts, with sale starting 12 March. That was a launch offer, not evidence of the current selling price. Motorola’s announcement used the launch marketing line “Grab your #motorolaedge70fusion at 24,999*.”
Quick Recap
What to verify before buying
- Country and exact variant: check the regional chipset, battery capacity, RAM, storage, network bands and included items. Motorola identifies market variation in its product specifications.
- Current price and stock: match storage configurations and confirm whether a displayed amount is a current offer, launch offer or listing price. The India Edge 50 Pro page cited above showed its 12/256 GB configuration as out of stock on the date checked.
- Software support expectations: Motorola’s APAC Edge 50 Pro page states three OS upgrades and four years of security maintenance releases. The cited APAC Fusion specification page lists Android 16 but does not state an equivalent upgrade and security-support policy, so verify the policy for the model sold in your market.
- Protection claims: the APAC Fusion page lists IP68/IP69 and MIL-STD 810H. These are manufacturer-listed protection ratings, not independent evidence that a phone is damage-proof.
