The Motorola Edge 60 Neo is the stronger on-paper choice: it lists a newer Dimensity 7400 processor, a larger stated battery and IP69/IP68 protection. The Edge 50 Neo remains close in size, charging and listed camera hardware, so it may be the better buy if it costs substantially less where you live. The price figures available for launch are historical, not today’s like-for-like prices.

How different are the screens and sizes?
Both phones are compact by current smartphone standards and have nearly identical listed dimensions. Motorola describes the Edge 50 Neo’s screen as 6.4 inches; the Edge 60 Neo is listed at 6.36 inches. That is a small difference on paper, not a change to a substantially larger phone.

The Edge 60 Neo has the more detailed display specification in the cited materials: LTPO adaptive refresh up to 120 Hz, HDR10+ and a manufacturer-claimed peak brightness of 3,000 nits. These are specifications and a claimed peak figure, not independent measurements of everyday brightness or screen quality.
Processor and software: newer does not mean proven faster
The Edge 50 Neo launched with a MediaTek Dimensity 7300, while Motorola’s Edge 60 Neo support listing names the Dimensity 7400. This makes the 60 Neo the newer listed platform, but the model number alone does not establish how much faster it is in apps, games or sustained workloads. No comparable benchmark results are established here.

The launch/listing software differs too: the 50 Neo was announced with Android 14 experiences, and Motorola lists Android 15 for the 60 Neo. A launch version is not necessarily the version currently installed, and update delivery can vary by region. These specifications do not establish a future update-support duration.
Battery capacity and charging
Motorola lists a 5,000 mAh typical battery for the Edge 60 Neo; its product page also gives a 5,100 mAh rated capacity. The Edge 50 Neo launch announcement used here specifies 68 W TurboPower wired and 15 W wireless charging but does not state its battery capacity. That leaves insufficient comparable capacity data to quantify the difference between the phones from these cited materials.
Both are listed with 68 W wired and 15 W wireless charging. Capacity and charging rates alone cannot establish which lasts longer in real use: runtime depends on workload, signal conditions, settings and software, and no comparative endurance test is established here.

Motorola lists IP68 protection for the Edge 50 Neo and IP69/IP68 for the Edge 60 Neo, as well as MIL-STD-810H for the newer phone. The 60 Neo therefore has the stronger stated protection credentials, but these ratings are not a guarantee against damage from water, dust, drops or wear. Resistance can degrade over time; check the exact regional model and warranty terms.
The listed dimensions are virtually the same. The Edge 60 Neo is listed at 174.5 g versus 171 g for the Edge 50 Neo, a 3.5 g difference. Regional specifications can vary, according to Motorola’s support information.
Camera hardware: similar setup, no proven image-quality winner
The listed rear-camera arrangement is broadly alike: a 50 MP main camera, 13 MP ultrawide/macro and 10 MP telephoto with 3× optical zoom. Motorola lists optical image stabilisation (OIS) on the 50 Neo’s main and telephoto cameras; the cited 60 Neo specification listing identifies the same core resolution and zoom arrangement. Both are listed with 32 MP front cameras.

Similar camera specifications do not prove similar photos, and the figures alone cannot identify a better camera. No direct image-quality comparison is established here, so choose between them on tested sample photos or hands-on needs rather than megapixel counts.

The available launch references are €499 for the Edge 50 Neo in selected European markets in Motorola’s 29 August 2024 announcement and a planned €399 Spanish price for the Edge 60 Neo reported in September 2025. Subtracting those figures gives €100, but they have different dates and scopes; it is not a current, like-for-like price gap.
Motorola’s Netherlands Edge 60 Neo page also includes a July 2025 claims note describing smartphones with 6.3–6.4-inch displays and launch prices between €359 and €459. That is a category statement, not a current offer for the phone. Motorola Netherlands product page

Which phone should you buy?
Choose the Edge 60 Neo if
- You want the newer listed processor generation.
- You value the larger stated battery capacity and higher IP69/IP68 protection listing.
- You find it at a competitive price for your region and configuration.
Choose the Edge 50 Neo if
- Its current local price is substantially lower than an equivalent Edge 60 Neo listing.
- You want broadly similar compact dimensions, charging rates and listed camera hardware.
- You are satisfied with its listed IP68 rating and your region’s software update status.
Before paying, verify network bands and SIM configuration for the exact regional model, since Motorola says specifications can vary by market. Neither the launch-price references nor the specification comparison alone determines which is better value today.
