Chipset: do not assume the same Edge 70 Fusion everywhere
Motorola’s EMEA Edge 50 Fusion sheet lists a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2. The India Edge 70 Fusion sheet lists a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, while Motorola’s global announcement and Japan listing specify a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3. A buyer should use the chipset listed for their own country’s model rather than treating the Gen 4 as universal or inferring performance from the model name alone.

Battery: the regional figures are not interchangeable
The EMEA Edge 50 Fusion sheet lists a 5,000 mAh battery and 68 W charging. Motorola lists 7,000 mAh for the India Edge 70 Fusion, 5,200 mAh in the global launch announcement, and 7,000 mAh in Japan. Motorola India also claims up to 52 hours of battery life; that is a manufacturer claim, not an independent test result. The cited India sheet does not state a charging-wattage figure for the Edge 70 Fusion, so these sources do not support a charging-speed comparison.
Display: larger on the documented India model
In the EMEA specification sheet, the Edge 50 Fusion has a 6.7-inch Full HD+ pOLED display with refresh rates up to 144 Hz. India’s Edge 70 Fusion sheet lists a 6.8-inch 2772 × 1272 Extreme AMOLED display, also up to 144 Hz, and a manufacturer-stated peak brightness of 5,200 nits. Those are specifications for the cited regional models; they do not establish that every market’s Edge 70 Fusion has the same panel figures.
Camera differences and a small regional discrepancy
Motorola lists the Edge 70 Fusion with a 50 MP Sony LYTIA 710 main camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 13 MP ultrawide/macro camera and a 32 MP selfie camera. Its global announcement gives the ultrawide a 122° field of view; the India support sheet lists 120°. Treat the field-of-view figure as market- or source-dependent. The cited materials do not provide enough detail for a complete, matched camera comparison against the Edge 50 Fusion, or for conclusions about real-world photo quality.

Weight, software and durability need a local-SKU check
The EMEA Edge 50 Fusion sheet lists Android 14 and a weight of 174.9 g. Motorola India lists the Edge 70 Fusion at 193 g, making that India-listed example heavier than the EMEA Edge 50 Fusion example. Because these figures come from different regional sheets, they should not be presented as a definitive universal weight difference. The cited Edge 70 Fusion material does not establish its software version or provide a matched durability-rating comparison; verify those details on the local product page before deciding.
What is the price difference?
A reliable numerical difference cannot be calculated from the cited listings: they do not show a current pair of prices for the same country and matching memory/storage configurations. Motorola India’s family page listed the Edge 50 Fusion at ₹20,999 against an MRP of ₹27,999 when retrieved in 2026; this is a volatile listing, not a confirmed current price for a matched configuration. Motorola Japan listed the Edge 70 Fusion at ¥79,800 including tax, with a planned October 23, 2026 release. These prices are in different countries and currencies and should not be subtracted or treated as a direct comparison.
