The realme P4R 5G puts more emphasis on battery capacity, screen size and charging wattage, and it was cheaper in a dated India marketplace snapshot. The right choice depends on which of those trade-offs matters most—and on the live price of the exact variant you plan to buy.

Which phone has the better display?
The Moto G96 has the sharper display on paper: its 6.67-inch panel is pOLED with FHD+ resolution (2400 × 1080). The P4R’s screen is slightly larger at 6.8 inches, but it uses an LCD panel with HD+ resolution (1570 × 720). Both are listed with refresh rates up to 144 Hz.
Choose the Moto if higher resolution and pOLED are priorities. Choose the P4R if you prefer the larger listed screen. A 144 Hz maximum refresh rate alone does not make the panels equivalent in resolution or display technology.

Which has the stronger battery and charging specifications?
The P4R is rated for 8,000 mAh and 45 W charging; the Moto G96 is rated for 5,500 mAh and 33 W. That gives the P4R a 2,500 mAh capacity advantage and a higher stated charging wattage, but those figures do not establish a precise difference in real-world runtime or charging time.
Realme says its “3 full days” battery claim is based on realme Lab data and warns that actual results may vary. It is not an independent, directly comparable endurance test against the Moto. For a runtime decision, look for a review that tests both phones under the same conditions. Charging time can also depend on the compatible adapter and test conditions.

How do their cameras and processors differ?
Camera hardware
Both phones are listed with a 50 MP main rear camera. The Moto adds an 8 MP ultrawide camera and has a 32 MP front camera; the P4R is listed with an 8 MP front camera and no ultrawide in the comparison sources. These are hardware specifications, not proof that one phone produces better photos. The megapixel counts alone do not settle image quality.
Processor and memory
The Moto uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, while the P4R uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300. Chipset names are not enough to declare a universal performance winner: results depend on the task, software and testing method. A 91mobiles Geekbench multicore snapshot favors the Moto, but benchmark results should be treated as test-specific rather than a guarantee of everyday performance.

Be careful when comparing RAM figures. Motorola lists 8 GB of RAM for the Moto. Realme advertises up to 14 GB of dynamic RAM for the P4R; dynamic RAM includes software expansion and is not equivalent to 14 GB of physical memory. Comparison listings report P4R variants with 4 GB or 6 GB physical RAM, so confirm the exact SKU before purchasing.

On 91mobiles, the displayed Amazon prices on 2026-10-04 were ₹27,989 for the Moto G96 5G and ₹20,199 for the realme P4R 5G. The P4R was ₹7,790 less in that snapshot. These are third-party listing prices captured on that date, not official MSRP or a guaranteed checkout price.

The comparison sources list Android 15 for the Moto G96 and Android 16 with realme UI 7.0 for the P4R. The available information does not establish a comparable remaining software-update term for the two models, so the listed Android versions alone cannot show how long either will receive updates.

Motorola’s support page lists IP68 for the Moto G96. Gadgets 360 reports IP64 for the P4R, but the official realme specification evidence reviewed here did not confirm that rating. Check realme’s current official specification or the retail packaging before relying on a direct protection-rating comparison.
Which phone should you buy?
Choose the Moto G96 5G if
- You prioritize its FHD+ pOLED display over the P4R’s larger but lower-resolution LCD.
- You want a listed ultrawide rear camera or a higher-resolution front-camera specification.
- You value the lighter, thinner body listed in the comparison or Motorola’s IP68 specification.
- You are willing to pay more in exchange for those hardware trade-offs at the prices available to you.
Choose the realme P4R 5G if
- You prioritize its larger screen, 8,000 mAh rated battery or higher listed charging wattage.
- You find it meaningfully cheaper for the storage and RAM variant you need.
- You are comfortable with an HD+ LCD display and the camera hardware listed by the comparison sources.
For either phone, choose based on the exact variant and current local listing rather than a past price snapshot. The official Motorola specifications may vary by market, and the P4R protection rating should be verified against official product information for the unit being sold.
