The Moto G57 Power prioritizes battery capacity, adds a wired-headphone jack and lists Android 16. Neither is an automatic winner: the right choice depends on which of those differences matters most, and current India prices need a same-variant check.

Which screen is better for your priorities?
The G96 has the stronger display specification for readers who value panel technology and smooth scrolling: Motorola lists a curved pOLED screen with up to 144Hz refresh rate, compared with the G57 Power’s LCD panel and 120Hz. The G57 Power’s screen is slightly larger at 6.72 inches versus 6.67 inches, but size alone does not make it the more premium panel.
Both are listed as FHD+. Motorola gives the G96 a 1,200-nit high-brightness mode and the G57 Power a 1,050-nit high-brightness mode. Those are manufacturer-listed figures; they are not a direct measurement of how readable either phone will feel in every lighting condition.

Battery capacity, charging and weight
The G57 Power has a 7,000mAh rated battery, while the G96 is listed at 5,500mAh. Both support 33W wired charging, so the G57’s advantage here is capacity rather than a higher listed charging wattage. Capacity does not determine an individual user’s runtime on its own; screen settings, signal, apps and usage all affect it.
In a PCMark battery test reported by 91mobiles, the G96 recorded 10 hours 53 minutes and the G57 Power 15 hours 18 minutes. The test conditions were not captured, so treat these as that publisher’s test results—not a promise of everyday screen time or a prediction for your use.

The G96 is substantially lighter on the listed figures: 178g against 210.6g for the G57 Power. If you carry a phone for long periods or prefer a lighter device, that difference may matter as much as the battery figures.
Durability and everyday extras
Motorola lists IP68 protection for the G96 and an IP64 water-resistant design for the G57 Power. These ratings are not claims that either phone is damage-proof; follow Motorola’s care guidance and do not treat water resistance as a reason to expose a device deliberately to water.

Chipset, Android version and storage
The India specifications list the G96 with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 and Android 15, and the G57 Power with a Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 and Android 16. These details establish the listed platform and software version; they do not establish which phone is faster in all tasks, how long either will receive updates, or what future update schedule Motorola will provide.

The G96 therefore has the higher listed selfie-camera resolution, but megapixels alone cannot establish which phone takes better photos. The available specifications are not a substitute for a controlled camera comparison.
Price difference in India: check like for like
The available price snapshots conflict. A 91mobiles comparison page, crawled approximately three weeks before October 7, 2026, showed both phones at ₹20,999; it described the G96 as out of stock and showed the G57 Power through Amazon. A Motorola India storefront search result crawled October 7, 2026, showed ₹21,999 for the G57 Power 8GB/128GB. These are dated snapshots, not reliable current offers, and the G96 stock status may have changed.
Before deciding on price, compare the same storage configuration and check seller, stock and applied offers at the time of purchase. In particular, do not treat the two ₹20,999 listings as proof of a stable ₹0 price gap: one was an out-of-stock listing, and the captured offers do not establish what you can buy today.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsWhich phone should you choose?
Choose the Moto G96 5G if
- You prefer the pOLED panel and up-to-144Hz refresh-rate specification.
- You want the lighter of the two phones or the higher listed ingress-protection rating.
- You value a 32MP front-camera specification or the option of 256GB built-in storage.
Choose the Moto G57 Power if
- You prioritize its larger 7,000mAh stated battery capacity.
- You want a 3.5mm jack for compatible wired headphones.
- Android 16 is important to you as the version listed in Motorola’s India specifications.
If the deciding factor is price, compare live offers for the exact storage variant and seller rather than relying on a cached comparison price. Motorola’s India support pages are the source for the core specifications: moto g96 5G specifications and moto g57 power specifications. The comparison figures and PCMark results are reported by 91mobiles.
