There is no dependable price winner in the available India listings: comparison sites show sharply different figures, and Samsung’s official page showed the M47 as “Not for sale” when checked. Confirm the exact variant and live price before deciding.
Specs at a glance

Battery and display: Moto leads on listed capacity and resolution
Comparison listings give the Moto G86 Power a 720 mAh higher battery capacity than the Galaxy M47. Capacity alone does not establish which phone lasts longer in everyday use; screen settings, workload, network conditions and software also affect endurance.
Smartprix lists both screens at 120 Hz and 6.7 inches, while giving the Moto the higher pixel count. That is a resolution advantage on paper, not proof of better brightness, color, viewing angles or overall panel quality.

Camera: compare resolution, not assumed photo quality
The listed front-camera resolutions are 32 MP for the Moto and 12 MP for Samsung. Megapixels do not determine image quality by themselves, so these figures are a specification difference rather than a basis for declaring one selfie camera better.
Software support: Samsung states a longer commitment
Samsung’s India product page says the Galaxy M47 receives six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates, counted from its first global launch date. Samsung also says the policy may change. The page identifies the 8 GB memory product.
A comparison listing reports Android 15 and one OS upgrade for the Moto G86 Power, but the official Motorola page reviewed is for the Moto G86 5G, not the Power version. It would be incorrect to transfer the non-Power phone’s specifications or support details to the G86 Power. Check Motorola’s support information for the exact Power model and market before relying on an update estimate.
Price difference: listings conflict, so verify matching variants
The available figures are India-focused comparison-site listings, not confirmed manufacturer prices or guaranteed offers. 91mobiles displayed ₹17,835 for the Moto G86 Power and ₹35,999 for the Galaxy M47 5G. Smartprix displayed ₹26,999 and ₹27,999 respectively and said its details were last updated October 7, 2026. The sources do not reconcile the difference; variant, retailer, promotion or listing status may differ.

Samsung’s official India page for its 8 GB memory, 128 GB product displayed “Not for sale” when accessed. Treat that as the page’s status at that time, not proof that the phone is unavailable from every retailer.
- Check that both listings are for the same RAM and storage configurations.
- Compare the final checkout price, including applicable offers and delivery charges.
- Confirm stock and seller details for your location before treating a displayed price as current.
Watch the Moto G86 and G86 Power naming difference
Motorola’s official India specifications page reviewed is for the Moto G86 5G, without “Power” in the model name. It lists a 5,200 mAh battery, among other specifications, and warns that specifications may vary by market. Those details do not establish the specifications of the G86 Power. For this comparison, the Power-specific figures above come from 91mobiles and Smartprix.
Which phone should you choose?
- Consider the Moto G86 Power if its listed higher battery capacity and display resolution matter most to you, and you verify the exact Power variant, local specifications and current price before purchase.
- Consider the Galaxy M47 5G if Samsung’s stated six-generation OS and six-year security-update policy is important, and its verified price and availability fit your budget.
Neither comparison-site price should decide the purchase until you have checked the same-day price for matching configurations.
