The Motorola moto g57 power 5G is the battery-capacity pick, with a 7,000mAh battery and a 6.72-inch 120Hz LCD. The Samsung Galaxy M47 5G trades some battery capacity for a 120Hz Super AMOLED display and a stated six generations of OS upgrades plus six years of security updates. For India, Motorola lists its 8GB/128GB model at ₹21,999; Samsung’s official M47 page currently says “Not for sale” and gives no current price, so a reliable current price difference cannot be calculated.

Moto G57 Power: more stated capacity
Motorola lists a 7,000mAh typical battery and 33W charging for the India version. The capacity is the larger of the two specifications, but it does not by itself establish longer runtime: actual battery life depends on use, settings and network conditions. Motorola’s product announcement separately gives a rated capacity of 6,790mAh; the 7,000mAh figure is the typical capacity.

Galaxy M47: faster stated charging
Samsung lists a 6,000mAh typical battery and 45W fast charging, with the charger sold separately. Samsung also notes a rated minimum capacity of 5,882mAh. The headline wattage does not establish comparative charging time; no matched charging test is available here.
How do the displays compare?
Both phones list 120Hz refresh rates and FHD+ resolution, but their panel types differ. The Motorola has a larger 6.72-inch LCD and specifies up to 1,050 nits in High Brightness Mode. Samsung lists a 6.66-inch-class Super AMOLED panel. Choose based on the LCD-versus-AMOLED distinction and screen size you prefer; the specifications alone do not establish which looks better in person.

Which phone has the better cameras?
The listed camera hardware points to different priorities rather than a proven image-quality winner. Motorola specifies a 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 main camera and an 8MP ultrawide, plus an 8MP selfie camera. Samsung lists a 50MP, 5MP and 2MP rear-camera arrangement, OIS for the rear camera, and a 12MP front camera. Megapixel counts and stabilization specifications are not substitutes for comparable photo or video testing.

Samsung states that the M47 will receive six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates from its first global launch; the company notes that the policy may change. Motorola lists Android 16 for the moto g57 power, but the Motorola sources reviewed do not state a comparable support duration.

Build claims, weight and audio
Motorola lists IP64, MIL-STD 810H and Gorilla Glass 7i, and gives the phone’s weight as 210.6g. Samsung lists Gorilla Glass Victus+ and describes water and dust resistance and 2.0m fall endurance; its listed weight is 206g. These are manufacturer-stated specifications and descriptions, not equivalent independent durability tests. Motorola lists stereo speakers and a 3.5mm headset jack; Samsung lists no stereo support and specifies USB-C audio.
What is the current price difference in India?
Motorola India lists the moto g57 power 5G with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage at ₹21,999. Samsung’s official Galaxy M47 page for the 6GB/128GB model currently shows “Not for sale” and does not state a live price. There is therefore no confirmed current official price gap to report. A 91mobiles comparison page showed ₹20,999 for Motorola and ₹35,999 for Samsung when reviewed, but that third-party snapshot conflicts with Motorola’s current official listing and does not establish Samsung’s current selling price.

- Choose the Galaxy M47 if you prefer Super AMOLED, want the listed 12MP selfie camera and rear OIS, or value Samsung’s stated update commitment. Verify that it is actually available and confirm its price before deciding.
- Compare exact regional variants before purchase. Motorola lists different configurations by market, and its UK support page differs on charging wattage; the figures above describe the India 8GB/128GB version. Samsung’s 45W charger is sold separately.
