The Moto G45 5G and vivo X300 FE sit in very different India price tiers. At their respective launch prices, the base X300 FE cost ₹69,000 more than the base G45—but those prices are from different years and configurations, so that is a historical launch-price difference, not a current price gap. The G45 prioritizes a larger screen, expandable storage and a headphone jack; the X300 FE lists a higher-tier processor, sharper AMOLED display, more versatile cameras and faster charging.

India launch prices: a ₹69,000 gap between base configurations

Motorola’s India launch release, dated August 21, 2024, listed the Moto G45 5G at ₹10,999 for 4GB RAM and 128GB storage, or ₹12,999 for 8GB and 128GB. The release also mentioned a ₹1,000 launch offer on select cards or exchange. First sales were scheduled for August 28, 2024 through Flipkart, Motorola.in and retailers. These are historical launch details, not current offers. Motorola’s launch release

vivo’s India release, dated May 6, 2026, listed the X300 FE at ₹79,999 for 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, or ₹89,999 for 12GB and 512GB. Availability was announced from May 14, 2026 through Flipkart, Amazon, vivo India’s e-store and retail partners. Launch bundles, cashback and other time-limited benefits in that release should not be treated as current offers. vivo’s launch release

The base launch prices differ by ₹69,000 (₹79,999 minus ₹10,999). That arithmetic compares different launch years and different memory and storage configurations; it does not tell you today’s price difference. A 91mobiles comparison snapshot showed an Amazon listing for the X300 FE and the Moto entry out of stock, but it is not proof of live availability or a guaranteed current price. Check current listings for the exact India variant before buying.

The X300 FE’s 6.31-inch AMOLED panel is smaller but has a listed resolution of 2640×1216 and a 120Hz refresh rate. vivo lists local peak brightness of 5,000 nits; that manufacturer specification is not a like-for-like real-world brightness comparison with the G45. Choose based on panel, resolution and size priorities rather than treating the advertised peak figure as a direct brightness test.

Camera hardware and the optional telephoto accessory

Different camera arrangements

The G45 lists a 50MP rear main camera, described as Quad Pixel in Motorola’s launch release, and a 16MP front camera. The X300 FE lists a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP telephoto camera with OIS, an 8MP wide-angle camera and a 50MP autofocus front camera. vivo’s overview describes 3× optical zoom and up to 100× digital zoom. Megapixel counts and advertised zoom ranges do not by themselves establish image quality.

The G45’s IP52 rating is listed alongside stereo speakers, a 3.5mm headset jack, FM radio and a hybrid SIM/microSD slot. The X300 FE lists IP68/IP69, NFC, eSIM, USB-C and dual-SIM 5G capability. Check the exact local variant and carrier support: vivo notes that network functionality can depend on carrier, infrastructure, laws and software.

How to choose between them

  • Consider the Moto G45 5G if your budget is closer to its historical launch tier and you value a larger display, microSD expansion, a 3.5mm headset jack, stereo speakers or FM radio. Check its present price and stock rather than assuming its 2024 launch price is still available.
  • Consider the vivo X300 FE if you are shopping in its premium price tier and prioritize the listed Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, a compact high-resolution AMOLED screen, telephoto and wide-angle camera hardware, a larger battery, faster wired charging, wireless charging or higher IP ratings.
  • Compare the exact configuration you can buy: the launch-price gap is not configuration-matched, and the G45 adds microSD while the X300 FE’s listed storage is not expandable.
  • Verify extras and compatibility before purchase, especially the separately sold telephoto extender, included accessories, eSIM availability and carrier support.

This is a comparison of manufacturer-published India specifications and historical launch prices, not a hands-on verdict that one phone is independently proven to be better.
