Both have a 6.5-inch 120 Hz display and a 5,000 mAh battery on paper. The main hardware distinction is the chipset: Snapdragon 695 in the G34 and Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 in the G45. The G45 costs more at the displayed prices, but the specifications alone do not establish that it is faster in everyday use or takes better photos.

For context, Motorola India announced the G45 in August 2024 at launch prices of ₹10,999 for 4 GB/128 GB and ₹12,999 for 8 GB/128 GB. Those were launch prices, not a current price quote; the announcement also described an initial ₹1,000 offer subject to its terms. Motorola’s G45 launch release gives the original details.

What the chipset difference does—and does not—tell you
The G34 uses a Snapdragon 695, while the G45 uses a Snapdragon 6s Gen 3. These are different chipsets, but their names alone do not prove that the G45 will feel faster in a particular app, game or daily task. No controlled head-to-head performance results are established here. Avoid treating Motorola’s launch description of the G45 as its “fastest” affordable-segment 5G phone as an independent comparison.

- Immersive 120Hz display* and Dolby Atmos: Watch movies and play games on a fast, fluid 6.6" display backed by multidimensional stereo sound.
- 50MP Quad Pixel camera system**: Capture sharper photos day or night with 4x the light sensitivity—and explore up close using the Macro Vision lens.
- Superfast 5G performance***: Unleash your entertainment at 5G speed with the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 octa-core processor.
- Massive battery and speedy charging: Work and play nonstop with a long-lasting 5000mAh battery, then fuel up fast with TurboPower.****
- Premium design within reach: Stand out with a stunning look and comfortable feel, including a vegan leather back cover that’s soft to the touch and fingerprint resistant.
Memory configuration also matters when comparing listings: both models appear in 4 GB/128 GB and 8 GB/128 GB forms in the cited listings. Compare the same RAM and storage tier, not just the model name, and confirm the precise retail SKU.
Display, cameras and battery
On the headline display and battery figures, the phones are closely matched: Motorola describes both as having a 6.5-inch display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a 5,000 mAh battery. Motorola Support specifies the G45 screen as HD+ LCD at 1600 × 720; the G34 announcement confirms its 120 Hz display. A high refresh rate can make supported motion look smoother, but it does not by itself establish overall display quality or battery life.

- NEW built-in stylus. Jot notes, edit photos, sketch artwork, and navigate effortlessly with an improved stylus and updated software.
- 6.7" pOLED display and Dolby Atmos. Experience cinema-quality entertainment with over a billion shades of color and multidimensional sound*.
- 50MP Ultra Pixel camera + OIS. Capture sharper low-light photos and smoother videos with an unshakable camera system featuring Optical Image Stabilization.
- 30W TurboPower charging + over a day battery. Get hours of power in just minutes of charging, then work and play with unbelievable battery life**.
- Standout design. Make a statement with its stunning look, modern color, and soft, vegan leather finish.
Both have a 16 MP front camera in Motorola’s launch materials. The G34 is described with a 50 MP main and macro camera, while the G45 release specifies a 50 MP main camera and a 2 MP macro camera. Megapixel counts and camera-module labels do not establish which phone takes better pictures; that would require comparable photo testing.

G45 charging figure is inconsistent
Motorola Support India lists 18 W charging for the G45, but Motorola’s 2024 launch release describes TurboPower 20 W. The sources do not explain the discrepancy. Since it could reflect regional variation or a documentation difference, do not rely on a single definitive G45 wattage without checking the official manual for the exact market variant. Motorola’s G34 announcement lists 18 W.
Rank #4
- Fluid 120Hz Display: Features a large 6.7-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for smooth scrolling and added durability.
Do not infer current software or remaining updates from old announcements
Motorola’s G34 announcement cites Android 14, and the G45 support listing cites Android 14 while its launch release promised an Android 15 upgrade. These records do not establish the installed version on a phone being sold now or how much support remains. Check the device’s update screen and Motorola’s current support information for its specific model before buying if update status is important.

Which should you choose?
- Choose the G34 if you can get the exact variant you want at the lower current price and the listed features meet your needs. At Motorola India’s observed prices, it is ₹3,000 cheaper.
- Consider the G45 if you prefer its newer named chipset, want the manufacturer-listed microSD expansion detail, or value its listed IP52 rating. These specification differences are not proof of superior real-world performance or durability in every use.
- Compare exact variants first if you are choosing between 4 GB and 8 GB RAM models. Verify final price, availability, market version and included configuration at checkout.
