The available sources do not verify the stock-by-stock ratings or selections in Edition 154 for the week ending October 2, 2026. A separate MarketBeat snapshot, accessed October 4, 2026, rated AGNC a Hold based on 11 analysts—seven Hold and four Buy. That is a third-party consensus, not the edition’s rating.
What the October 2 edition’s ratings show
The specific Edition 154 rating table could not be verified. That means there is no reliable basis here to name its mortgage REIT or BDC picks, report the edition author’s individual ratings, or describe changes from the prior week. The MarketBeat consensus below is useful context for AGNC, but it must not be presented as the missing edition result.

AGNC’s separately reported analyst consensus
| Provider and snapshot | Consensus | Rating breakdown | Analyst count |
|---|---|---|---|
| MarketBeat, accessed October 4, 2026 | Hold | 7 Hold; 4 Buy | 11 |
MarketBeat says it uses each analyst’s latest rating from the preceding 12 months, maps ratings to a standardized numerical scale, and averages them. The provider cautions that its result can differ from other services because methods and available data vary. A consensus label summarizes opinions under that provider’s method; it is neither a company-issued rating nor a guarantee of performance.
AGNC’s reported fundamentals offer context, not a stock rating
AGNC Investment Corp.’s Q2 2026 release reported tangible net book value of $8.58 per common share as of June 30, 2026, up 2.4% from March 31. It also reported 7.4x tangible-net-book-value-at-risk leverage at quarter-end and a 6.7% economic return on tangible common equity for the quarter. The company reported $0.36 in declared common dividends per share for Q2.

Those are company-reported figures for a defined reporting period, not analyst opinions or a forecast. For a mortgage REIT, book value and leverage help describe the balance sheet and exposure to changes in mortgage asset and financing values; a dividend figure alone does not establish whether a distribution is sustainable or what a share is worth.
Don’t confuse portfolio credit ratings with stock recommendations
AGNC’s Form 10-Q discusses credit ratings on certain CRT and non-Agency securities held in its portfolio. It describes using the lowest rating among S&P, Moody’s, Fitch, DBRS, KBRA and Morningstar, expressed as an S&P equivalent. Those ratings assess portfolio securities; they are not recommendations to buy, hold or sell AGNC common stock.

How to compare weekly REIT and BDC ratings
When the original weekly table is available, compare its entries on a like-for-like basis rather than blending unrelated rating services. A useful comparison identifies the week-ending date and provider, then shows each issuer’s rating, any target price, changes from the prior week, and the number or source of contributing analysts where reported.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteRatings are only one part of the comparison. For mortgage REITs, pair them with dated measures such as tangible book value, leverage, spread income, liquidity, dividends and exposure to interest rates and mortgage prepayments. For BDCs, use the relevant company filings and metrics for that business model rather than assuming mortgage REIT measures apply. The AGNC Q2 figures above are a historical company baseline, not a substitute for current market data.
