To get the Sheephead Totem in Mortal Shell II, reach the Mushroom Village beacon, take the left-hand path through the gateway into the Grisha Hunter camp, and free the caged Grisha Pup. You can buy a Cage Key, take one from the Hunters, or break the padlock with a melee attack. Check the trader’s stock before you make the Hunters hostile: the shop may become inaccessible afterward.
Where to find the Grisha Pup
- Go to the Mushroom Village beacon.
- Take the left-hand path through the gateway toward the Grisha Hunter camp.
- Look for the caged Grisha Pup in the camp.
Walkthroughs describe the location with different compass directions, so use the beacon and left-hand gateway as the more practical route cues.

Before opening the cage, check the trader
Inspect the camp trader’s stock and buy anything you want before opening the cage or fighting the Hunters. Walkthroughs warn that the merchant may become unavailable after the camp turns hostile. One guide gives 2,000 Coins for a Grisha Remnant and 250 Coins for the Cage Key; treat those as reported prices, since costs can vary with game state or patches.

How to get the Sheephead Totem
Once the cage is open, interact with the freed pup. The interaction awards the Sheephead Totem; check the inventory or new-item prompt to confirm it registered.

The active effect is a novelty or situational transformation, not a straightforward combat upgrade. If you want the reported enemy-health reduction instead, use the passive slot. The exact behavior may depend on the current build.
Optional return visit for two Glimpses
After collecting the totem, rest at a Beacon and return to the camp. One walkthrough reports that the pup and its mother, the Grisha Matron, appear for a follow-up interaction that grants two Glimpses. Treat this as a reported follow-up rather than a guaranteed result in every version.

If the pup or Hunters are missing
A guide discussing the beta reported cases where the camp loaded without the pup or Hunters, and suggested entering the nearby dungeon and returning to reload the area. It also noted beta fixes for disappearing camp characters. This is a possible workaround, not a confirmed fix for the current retail build.
