Cloncurry’s reported resource and development pathway
The Motley Fool article attributed September 2026 Cloncurry resource figures of 152,000 tonnes of copper and 171,000 ounces of gold to a company announcement. It also reported that True North Copper had announced further high-grade copper and gold exploration results and expected a Cloncurry prefeasibility study later in 2026. The primary announcement was not available in the linked material, so these figures and milestones are relayed as reported rather than independently confirmed here.
A mineral resource figure describes an estimate of mineralisation; by itself it does not establish how much can be economically mined, what a mine would cost, or whether financing and approvals can be secured. A prefeasibility study is a potential step toward evaluating development, not a production decision.

What catalysts did the report identify?
Morgans’ reported case pointed to further Mt Oxide drilling and the Cloncurry prefeasibility study as potential catalysts over the following 12 months. Separately, the company statement quoted in the article said drilling in late 2026 and into 2027 would target near-mine exploration and resource extensions at Cloncurry, with the possibility of growing the resource and refining project value. Both drilling outcomes and study timing remain uncertain: exploration may not deliver a larger resource, and a study may alter the development case or schedule.
What the reported figures do—and do not—show
The Motley Fool article also stated a company value of A$62.9 million, but the accessible text did not specify the valuation basis or its date. It should not be treated as a live market capitalisation or compared directly with the broker’s target without checking the relevant share count, price date and valuation method.
