There is no single monthly cost for keeping a 24/7 YouTube stream running on a Beelink mini PC. The bill depends on the computer’s average power draw at the wall while doing your exact streaming workload and your local electricity rate. Estimate it with average watts × 0.73 × your price per kWh for an average 730-hour month. Playback figures and idle readings are not live-encoding measurements, so measure your own setup before treating any estimate as its likely bill.
Calculate the monthly electricity cost
For a continuously operating setup, use:
Average wall watts ÷ 1,000 × hours in the billing period × local price per kWh

A 730-hour month is a convenient average (8,760 hours per year divided by 12), making the shortcut average watts × 0.73 × local price per kWh. For a precise bill-period estimate, use the actual number of hours in that period.
For example, at a measured 20 W average, the PC would use 14.6 kWh in 730 hours. Multiply 14.6 by your electricity price per kWh to estimate the energy charge. This is an illustration of the arithmetic, not a claim about what a Beelink draws while streaming.

Why published Beelink power figures may not predict your stream
Playback is different from broadcasting
A reported Beelink EQi13 Pro test measured 32–34.3 W at the wall during YouTube 8K/60 playback in Firefox. That corresponds to roughly 23.4–25.0 kWh over 730 hours. The test setup, as reported by iTechGuides and attributed to CNX Software in 2025, included Wi-Fi 6, a USB keyboard-and-mouse dongle, and a connected pen display. It is a playback reference—not a measurement of encoding and sending a live stream, or a guarantee for other Beelink models. See the iTechGuides report.
Idle and load readings are not streaming readings
A separate iTechGuides report attributes these EQ14 readings to MiniPCLab: 6.2 W idle, 8–10 W under light load, and 18–22 W under full CPU load. They describe those PC states; they do not establish the power draw of a YouTube playlist or live encoder. The same 730-hour arithmetic gives 4.5 kWh at 6.2 W, 5.8–7.3 kWh at 8–10 W, and 13.1–16.1 kWh at 18–22 W, but these remain state-based illustrations—not broadcast estimates. Your streaming workload matters
OBS notes that CPU requirements vary with the encoder, resolution, frame rate, and scene complexity. A simple prerecorded scene and a production with multiple sources, effects, or other processing should not be assumed to consume the same power. OBS also cautions that meeting basic system requirements does not guarantee that a computer can handle a particular streaming or recording workload. See OBS Project’s system requirements.
Measure your own setup
- Define what you are measuring. For the PC-only figure, meter the mini PC. For the cost of the whole station, include equipment that remains on, such as a display and peripherals.
- Use a plug-in electricity monitor. Choose one that reports wall watts or accumulated kWh. The power adapter’s maximum rating and the processor’s TDP are not substitutes for measured wall consumption.
- Run the actual stream configuration. Use the intended video, encoder, resolution, frame rate, scene, network setup, and regular connected equipment. Let the setup run long enough under representative conditions for consumption to stabilize.
- Record an average or accumulated energy. A kWh total over a known, representative period can be more useful than a momentary watt reading. If the meter records energy, divide kWh by the number of hours to find average kW, then multiply by 1,000 for watts.
- Apply the formula. Multiply average watts by 0.73 and then by your local price per kWh, or use the actual hours in your billing period.
- Repeat after meaningful changes. Recheck after changing encoder, resolution, frame rate, scene complexity, peripherals, or cooling conditions; those changes can alter power use.
There is no cited controlled, sustained live-encoding wall-power figure for an unspecified Beelink model and setup. Measuring the exact configuration is the practical way to get a useful estimate.

Keep the comparison fair
If you are comparing Beelink models or a local PC with another option, measure each under the same stream workload and conditions. Compare average wall watts, kWh over the same duration, stream stability and quality at the chosen settings, and the same system boundary (PC alone or PC plus display and peripherals). Apply one consistent local tariff. A candidate mini PC’s listed specifications alone do not establish its continuous encoding power, uptime, or reliability.
Start the stream safely
YouTube describes encoder streaming as useful for screen sharing, external audio/video equipment, or more advanced production. First-time live-stream enablement may take up to 24 hours, according to YouTube Help. YouTube’s encoder guidance recommends RTMPS and says to test with audio and movement resembling the actual stream. Confirm that the PC sustains your chosen stream settings before relying on it for continuous operation.
