The ★4 quest Gettin’ Yolked in the Forest requires you to deliver two. Do not confuse it with the similarly named Wildspire Waste quest, which asks for Herbivore Eggs instead.
Where to find Wyvern Eggs
Search the nest in Area 16 of the Ancient Forest. Game8 lists this location for Low Rank and Master Rank, but not High Rank; that is the rank coverage shown in its item entry, not confirmation that the egg is unavailable elsewhere. Game8’s Wyvern Egg entry identifies the location and notes the item’s uses.

How to complete Gettin’ Yolked in the Forest
This ★4 Ancient Forest quest calls for two Wyvern Eggs. Pick up an egg at Area 16 and carry it back to the Item Box to deliver it; repeat for the second egg. Game8 also reports that collecting a Wyvern Egg during this forest quest can unlock it as a Canteen ingredient.

Do not mix it up with Gettin’ Yolked in the Waste
The ★3 Wildspire Waste quest with the similar name requires two Herbivore Eggs, not Wyvern Eggs. Kiranico’s Monster Hunter: World quest database distinguishes the two quests by location and required item: the Forest version is for Wyvern Eggs, while the Waste version is for Herbivore Eggs.
For the Waste quest, Gamer Guides places the Apceros nest at the southern end of Area 4 and says to carry both eggs to the Item Box. Its walkthrough notes that carrying slows the hunter, stamina depletion causes the egg to drop, and taking a hit also drops it. Those carrying details are guidance for the Herbivore Egg task, not a separately verified Wyvern Egg route.
