Monster Hunter Rise has reportedly passed 20 million sales, according to an October 2026 report by Nintendo Life citing official sales data. Capcom’s Platinum Titles table, however, lists the base game at 19.30 million units as of June 30, 2026. The milestone is therefore a later reported claim, not a figure confirmed by the Capcom table currently available.
How many copies of Monster Hunter Rise has Capcom listed?
Capcom’s Platinum Titles table records Monster Hunter Rise at 19.30 million units, with figures dated June 30, 2026. That is the latest dated figure in the table, and it remains below 20 million.

The same table lists Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak separately at 11.90 million. These are distinct entries, not a combined total for the base game and expansion.

In October 2026, Nintendo Life reported that Monster Hunter Rise had passed 20 million, attributing the milestone to official sales data. That report is later than Capcom’s June 30 table, but the two figures do not match: Capcom’s table still shows 19.30 million.

The careful reading is that the game has been reported as surpassing 20 million, while Capcom’s cited table has not yet reflected that milestone. The available figures do not explain the discrepancy, so it would be inaccurate to present 20 million as the number shown in Capcom’s table.
Which platforms are included?
Capcom lists the base game on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC/digital. The broad release footprint is relevant context for the reported milestone, but the published figures do not break sales down by platform or identify which platform contributed most.

How do Sunbreak and the franchise total fit in?
Sunbreak is a separate expansion figure
Capcom said on June 4, 2025, that Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak had exceeded 10 million cumulative global units. Its announcement describes the expansion as released on June 30, 2022, and lists Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC. Capcom’s later Platinum Titles table puts the expansion at 11.90 million as of June 30, 2026.
Those expansion sales should not be treated as additional base-game copies. Capcom reports Rise and Sunbreak as separate title entries.

The 100-million milestone covers the series
In May 2024, Capcom announced that the Monster Hunter series had exceeded 100 million cumulative units as of March 31, 2024. That franchise-wide milestone covers the broader series; it is not a sales total for Rise.
