A September 23, 2022 Times of India report had already described an FIR and allegations about a longer lease. That earlier report establishes what was reported at the time; it does not establish the truth of the allegations or the outcome of the later proceedings.
Who is identified with the property?
The current reports link the flat to Melronia Hospitality Pvt Ltd and identify Alka Bhatia Hiranandani, described as actor Akshay Kumar’s sister, as associated with the company. They also name other directors. Those company and director details are descriptions in news coverage; the cited reports do not provide a corporate filing to independently verify them.

What is reported about the arrests and court status?
The Times of India reported that Chukkal was remanded to police custody until October 5, 2026. Hindustan Times and India Today also reported that associate Sameer Sawant was arrested. Other coverage cited here focuses on Chukkal, so Sawant’s arrest is attributed to those two outlets rather than treated as independently confirmed across all reports. No later court status is established by the cited coverage.
Do reports agree on the rent?
No. The Times of India reports monthly rent of ₹2.55 lakh and a ₹15.3 lakh security deposit, while Hindustan Times reports monthly rent of ₹2.25 lakh.
