Mirae Asset Sharekhan advertises a GIFT City service giving eligible Indian residents and some NRIs access to more than 10,000 US stocks and ETFs. The provider also says more than 2,500 securities in that universe are available for fractional investing from USD 1. These are the provider’s representations on its official service page, accessed October 7, 2026; fees, eligibility and terms should be checked with the provider before investing.
What does the GIFT City service offer?
The service is presented as a way to invest in US-listed stocks and ETFs through a GIFT City-based provider structure. Mirae Asset Sharekhan lists examples such as Apple, NVIDIA, Alphabet, QQQ, SPY and VT. It says its available universe exceeds 10,000 US stocks and ETFs. These figures and examples are provider statements, not an independent inventory or assessment.

| Feature | What the provider says |
|---|---|
| Available securities | More than 10,000 US stocks and ETFs, according to Mirae Asset Sharekhan’s official service page accessed October 7, 2026. |
| Fractional investing | More than 2,500 stocks and ETFs can be bought fractionally from USD 1, according to the provider. Fractional or notional orders from USD 1 are market orders only. |
| Account-opening fee | ₹0, as advertised on the provider’s official service page accessed October 7, 2026. |
| Platform annual fee | ₹0, as advertised on the provider’s official service page accessed October 7, 2026. |
The advertised zero fees are not an all-in cost: the provider says brokerage and other charges apply under tariff rates. The page does not establish a complete current tariff or the currency-conversion spread, so an investor cannot calculate their total cost from the advertised fee figures alone.

Who can invest, according to the provider?
Mirae Asset Sharekhan says resident Indians can use the service through the Liberalised Remittance Scheme (LRS). Its page states a limit of USD 250,000 per PAN per year for resident Indians. Treat that as the provider’s description of the applicable limit, not a substitute for checking current RBI rules or your own circumstances.
#1 Best Overall
The provider also lists NRIs as eligible, except NRIs, PIOs or OCI cardholders based in the US or Canada. Confirm your status and eligibility directly with the provider before opening an account or remitting funds.
How are funds sent and converted?
The provider describes a funding path that starts with an INR remittance from an Indian bank. The money is converted to USD and credited to a GIFT City wallet. Mirae Asset Sharekhan describes the service as LRS compliant. The page does not provide enough information to determine the exchange rate or full conversion cost for a particular transfer.

Which companies provide the service?
The official page describes several roles in the arrangement:

- Mirae Asset Capital Markets (IFSC) Pvt. Ltd. is identified as an IFSCA broker dealer.
- ViewTrade International IFSC Private Limited is described as an authorised Global Access Provider and as co-powering the investing service.
- Glomo Payments IFSC Private Limited is identified as the remittance service provider.
- Sharekhan Limited says it acts as distributor of third-party products.
These are the roles described by the provider; they should not be read as a guarantee of investment performance or as an independent assessment of each entity’s responsibilities.
What costs and protections should investors check?
Before investing, ask for the current tariff and a transaction-level estimate that includes brokerage, currency conversion and any other applicable charges. The provider says brokerage and other charges apply at the sole discretion of Sharekhan Limited and ViewTrade International IFSC. It also says relevant SEC and FINRA fees apply. The retrieved fee information does not establish an investor-specific total.
The service page includes a disclaimer about investor-protection and grievance arrangements. It says disputes relating to this US stock service do not have access to specified recognised IFSC exchange investor-protection, dispute-resolution and grievance-redress mechanisms. That statement is limited to the mechanisms it identifies; it should not be generalized into a claim that investors have no protections. The legal scope and application to a particular customer are not independently established here. Review the current offering documents and understand which complaint and dispute routes apply to your account.

What to verify before opening an account
- Whether your residency, tax status and location meet the provider’s current eligibility rules.
- The current LRS requirements and remittance process that apply to you.
- The complete tariff, including brokerage, currency conversion and applicable third-party fees.
- Whether the security you want is available, and whether your order will be fractional or whole-share.
- Which order types are supported; the provider says fractional or notional orders from USD 1 are market orders only.
- How holdings are held and which grievance, investor-protection and dispute-resolution arrangements apply to your account.
Mirae Asset Sharekhan’s official service page also says that securities mentioned are exemplary and not recommendatory. The service’s stated scale and low entry point describe access features, not a recommendation to buy any particular stock or ETF.
