What is confirmed about the 2026 claim?
The 2026 recognition has not been verified. The directly relevant MIP result is a profile published on October 3, 2022, titled “IP Ones to Watch 2022: MIP recognises Kinga Palińska at CD Projekt.” The available 2026 event listing offers current professional context, but it is not an MIP announcement.

What did MIP document in 2022?
MIP identified Palińska as a member of CD Projekt’s IP team in Poland. Its profile describes work across the company’s intellectual-property portfolio, including registration strategy, oppositions, trademark disputes, licensing and partnership deals, merchandise agreements, cross-licensing and marketing campaigns. It also notes policy work with the Polish Games Association concerning Poland’s implementation of the EU Copyright Directive.

The profile quoted Palińska describing the work as “very challenging but at the same time extremely inspiring,” citing the responsibility of securing the company’s rights while working with artists, worldwide collaboration deals and its trademark portfolio. The Games Industry Law Summit’s In-house 2026 Porto page lists “Palinska, Kinga” as Business & IP Law Lead at CD PROJEKT RED. It corroborates a professional association and title on that event page; it does not say that MIP selected her for IP Ones to Watch 2026. See the summit listing.

Why do the company names differ?
The 2022 MIP profile uses “CD Projekt.” CD PROJEKT RED’s investor-relations page records that the company changed its name from “CD PROJEKT Spółka Akcyjna” to “CD PROJEKT RED Spółka Akcyjna” on August 10, 2026, while remaining the same legal entity.
