What drove Mincon’s 28% revenue growth?
In its 9 October 2026 Q3 trading update, Mincon attributed most of the nine-month revenue increase to construction. The company highlighted customer traction for its spiral-flush solution for drilled foundations. It also said existing major North American infrastructure projects were continuing and that it had won two significant new projects in Sweden, expected to finish between Q4 2026 and Q1 2027.

The 28% figure is a nine-month year-on-year comparison, not a full-year growth result. The release does not provide a nine-month revenue total in the information reported here, so the percentage should not be converted into an estimated euro amount.
How does the update compare with Mincon’s earlier results?
Mincon’s 2026 half-year results, published 4 August 2026, reported first-half revenue of €87.8 million, up 19% from €74.0 million in the first half of 2025 continuing operations. Construction revenue rose 23% and represented 50% of H1 revenue, compared with 48% a year earlier. Mining grew 18%, while waterwell and geothermal revenue increased 5%.

The later nine-month growth rate is higher than the reported H1 rate, but the update does not provide enough period-specific figures to calculate Q3 revenue growth on its own or to identify how much of the acceleration came from each business line.
Where was construction growth strongest?
H1 construction trends varied sharply by region, according to Mincon’s half-year report. The percentages below are company-reported year-on-year changes for the first half of 2026, not separate nine-month growth rates.

Mincon said growth in the Americas and Europe more than offset the declines in Asia-Pacific and Africa. The Q3 update points to continued North American project work and new Swedish awards, but it does not give updated regional revenue percentages. Mincon also reported mining-business growth across Africa, Australia and North America during the nine-month period.

The board said it now expects full-year 2026 revenue and EBITDA to be ahead of market expectations, citing trading momentum through 30 September. This is a qualitative update: the Q3 announcement provides neither a new numerical forecast nor the market-consensus values used for comparison. It therefore does not establish a specific revenue or EBITDA target.

Mincon describes itself as an Irish engineering group that designs, manufactures, sells and services rock-drilling tools and consumable products. Its shares trade as MIO on Euronext and MCON on AIM. The company’s Q3 release warns that actual results may differ materially from forward-looking statements.
What could affect margins?
Mincon said elevated raw-material costs put pressure on Q3 margins. Modest customer price increases partly offset that pressure. The company said the cost pressure had since eased and expected margins to improve further during the remainder of 2026, supported by higher throughput and operating leverage. Those statements are management’s expectations, not a reported full-year margin result; the update gives no margin forecast or quantified cost impact.

What the figures do—and do not—show
The 28% increase is Mincon’s reported nine-month revenue comparison, while the regional and business-line percentages cited above are from its first-half results. They are not independent market measurements. For context, Mincon reported FY 2025 revenue of €148.7 million, up 2% from 2024, and construction revenue growth of 14% for that year in its 2025 full-year results, published 10 March 2026. That prior-year baseline does not supply a numerical 2026 forecast.
