The evidence available does not establish that the data is authentic or that any of the named companies confirmed a breach. The claim remains unverified.
What is being claimed?
The Cybernews listing attributes the alleged access to an actor identified as “Marx” and names five companies: Airbnb, Uber, PayPal, Booking.com and Google. The title highlights Airbnb, Uber and Google, but the listing also names PayPal and Booking.com.

The listing is evidence that the claim was reported, not proof that the records exist as described. The material available does not establish what data fields are allegedly involved, how many records are attributed to each company, or whether any company confirmed the claim. It also does not establish whether anyone independently inspected the files or whether “access” refers to a sample, a dataset, or continuing access to a system.

Have the companies confirmed a breach?
No confirmation from the named companies is established by the available information. There is also no verified basis here to say that a particular customer or employee was affected or notified. Treat the claim as unresolved unless the companies or reliable, independently corroborated reporting provide further evidence.

What should customers do now?
This listing alone does not show that your account was exposed. Avoid treating an unsolicited message or a seller’s claim as proof, and do not click links or share credentials in response to it. If you want to check your account, use the company’s official app or type its website address yourself; review account activity and security notifications there.
If a company later confirms an incident, follow its specific guidance. Until then, changing a password solely because of this unverified listing is not evidence that your information was included, and paid monitoring cannot authenticate the alleged dataset.
Why law-enforcement data policies are separate
Airbnb publishes law-enforcement transparency reports and describes how it handles government requests under its policies and guidelines. Uber’s data-request help page says it responds to disclosure requests within applicable legal frameworks. These pages concern official requests; they do not corroborate the alleged sale or establish a breach.

The U.S. Department of Justice documented a separate Uber breach from 2016: approximately 57 million user records and 600,000 driver’s-license numbers were involved, according to the department’s 2022 announcement. That historical incident is not evidence that the 2026 listing is genuine or related to it.
