The Miele M 6012 SC is a freestanding 26-litre microwave with a 900 W maximum microwave output and an 800 W quartz grill. Its listed features include microwave-and-grill combination cooking, automatic programmes and a memory function, but available evidence here is manufacturer specifications and a handful of owner comments—not independent cooking tests. The key buying checks are whether its 520 × 305 × 422 mm body fits your counter, whether a 32.5 cm turntable and 20.7 cm cavity height suit your dishes, and whether its left-hinged door works in your kitchen.
What the Miele M 6012 SC offers
This is a countertop appliance, not a built-in microwave. Miele’s UK/GB specification sheet lists a 26 L capacity, seven microwave power levels from 80 W to 900 W, an 800 W quartz grill, and a microwave/grill combination mode. Those specifications describe the available settings; they do not establish how quickly or evenly the oven cooks.

| Feature | Listed specification |
|---|---|
| Appliance type | Freestanding microwave |
| Capacity | 26 L |
| Microwave power | 80, 150, 300, 450, 600, 750 and 900 W; 900 W maximum |
| Grill | 800 W quartz grill |
| Turntable | 32.5 cm diameter |
| Interior height | 20.7 cm |
| Controls and convenience | Side controls, automatic programmes, memory function, quick microwave, minute minder, time display and keeping warm |
| Oven compartment | Stainless steel |
| Door | Left-hinged |
Miele’s UK/GB technical specification sheet lists the power, capacity and functions. Miele describes the stainless-steel interior as easy to clean and as supporting microwave distribution; those are manufacturer claims, not independent test findings. Check the manual for how to select programmes and use the combination mode.
Will it fit your counter and cookware?
The model information sheet gives external dimensions of 520 mm wide × 305 mm high × 422 mm deep. Before buying, measure the available surface and account for ventilation and door-opening clearance as specified in the manual or installation drawing. The door opens from the left, so check that it will not hit a wall, cabinetry or another appliance.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
The 26 L capacity alone does not tell you whether a particular dish will fit. Compare the dish’s diameter with the 32.5 cm turntable, and its height with the 20.7 cm interior height. A dish can be too tall even when its base fits. Miele’s model information sheet provides the dimensions and configuration; Miele Australia’s manual and downloads page is a place to check operating and clearance guidance for that market.
How useful are the grill and convenience features?
Microwave and grill modes
The listed 800 W quartz grill gives the M 6012 SC a function beyond microwave-only reheating, and the specification sheet also lists a microwave/grill combination mode. These may matter if you want grill cooking or a combined setting, but no independent browning or cooking test for this exact model is established here. Do not treat the wattage or mode list as proof of a particular result.

Programmes and controls
Miele lists automatic programmes, a memory function, quick microwave, minute minder, time display and keeping warm, with controls on the side. The feature list suggests options for routine use, but it does not establish how intuitive the controls are in practice. Consult the model’s manual if you need details on programme selection, stored settings or accessory use.
What do owner reviews say?
Miele Australia’s shop listing displayed a 3.5/5 average across four reviews when retrieved in 2026; the listing showed one of four reviewers recommending the product. That small, self-selected Australian sample is not a reliable measure of general satisfaction, performance or reliability. Ratings and review counts can also change.

Examples from Miele New Zealand’s listing show differing impressions: one three-star reviewer felt the microwave seemed smaller and flimsier than the model it replaced and considered the price high; a four-star reviewer liked its appearance but found the door loud when closing. These are individual owner comments, not verified general characteristics or long-term reliability evidence. Miele Australia’s shop listing and Miele New Zealand’s product listing provide the regional listing context.
Regional details to verify before buying
Specifications and purchase details may differ by market or regional SKU. Miele Australia’s listing gives 220–240 V, 50 Hz, a 2.3 kW rated load and a weight of 16.5 kg. Confirm that the local version is electrically suitable for your supply and follow its installation instructions; those Australian details should not be assumed to apply elsewhere.

The Australian listing names a grilling rack, gourmet plate, food cover and turntable among supplied accessories. Check the seller’s package contents for the exact regional model before purchase. If you need a replacement turntable, rack or other accessory, verify the part’s compatibility with the precise model and regional SKU rather than relying on dimensions alone.
Who should consider the M 6012 SC?
It is worth considering if you want a freestanding microwave with a documented grill and combination mode, and its dimensions and left-side door swing suit your counter. It may be a poor fit if your dishes exceed the turntable or cavity-height limits, if you need a different hinge arrangement, or if you require independently verified cooking performance or durability. No independent laboratory test, comparative editorial review or substantiated long-term reliability study for this exact model is established here, so the available basis for a decision is its published specification, installation fit and limited owner feedback.
