The different dimension figures are tied to different listings and label conventions; do not treat them as evidence that one can replace the other. Before installation, measure the actual cabinet niche and verify the data plate, regional electrical requirements and model-specific installation instructions. Miele’s H 2661 B instructions warn that the oven needs an adequate supply of cool air and say installation and repairs should be done by qualified persons. Not a pyrolytic self-cleaning oven
The same catalogue says the H 2661-1 B does not have pyrolytic cleaning. It lists PerfectClean surfaces and catalytic enamel, which are different from a high-temperature pyrolytic self-clean cycle. Miele’s H 2661 B manual explains that PerfectClean surfaces have non-stick properties and are easier to maintain with regular cleaning, while the rear panel has catalytic enamel. Follow the exact manual for cleaning, including its instructions for glass and for removing unnecessary accessories and side rails before the specified high-temperature cleaning procedure. Miele’s Portugal page for H 2661-1 B lists a HUBB 71 universal tray and GP CL H 0502 L oven cleaner among corresponding products. These are useful starting points for an owner seeking a replacement tray or a cleaner, not a guarantee of fit or safe use with every H 2661 B variant. - Confirm identity: photograph the data plate and match the full model designation to the seller’s listing and the manual.
- Verify the fit: measure the available niche and compare it with the exact variant’s installation documentation; do not rely on a nominal “60 cm” description alone.
- Check electrical suitability: use the rating plate and local requirements, and have installation or repairs handled by a qualified person.
- Test the actual unit: check that the display and controls respond, the door closes properly, the cavity and glass are intact, and the available cooking functions operate. These checks assess the individual used appliance; they are not a substitute for independent performance-test scores.
- Assess cleaning and wear: inspect the PerfectClean surfaces and catalytic rear panel for damage or heavy soil, and confirm the seller has not mistaken them for pyrolytic cleaning.
- Check support and parts locally: ask Miele or an authorized service provider about serviceability and parts for that exact model. Discontinued status does not establish whether a particular replacement part remains available.
For an alternative oven, compare verified niche and electrical requirements, capacity, cooking modes, cleaning system, connectivity, accessory availability, repair support and the condition of any used unit.
