Choose a Meta Quest 3 storage size around how you plan to use the headset: keeping many standalone apps installed makes capacity more relevant, while PC VR use or willingness to uninstall and reinstall content may change the trade-off. What the Quest 3 offers
Meta’s device-comparison page, updated September 30, 2026, lists Quest 3 as an all-in-one headset with an LCD display at 2064×2208 pixels per eye, a Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 processor, 8GB of onboard memory, Wi-Fi 6E, and an estimated battery life of approximately two hours. These are manufacturer specifications and an estimate, not independent performance or battery-test results. Meta also lists Quest Link via cable or Air Link, giving buyers the choice of standalone use or connecting to a PC for VR.

In its 2023 announcement, Meta described the display as a “4K+ Infinite Display” and said it delivered “a nearly 30% leap in resolution compared to Meta Quest 2.” That comparison is Meta’s own claim, not an independent measurement. Which Meta Quest 3 storage size should I buy?
Meta announced 128GB and 512GB configurations. Its announced US launch prices in 2023 were $499.99 for 128GB and $649.99 for 512GB; those are historical launch prices, not verified current retail prices. Current price, availability, usable space after system software, and app sizes are not established here, so check the retailer and current product listing for the market where you plan to buy.

Is the Quest 3 still worth buying?
It may suit someone who wants an all-in-one headset with the option of PC VR through Quest Link, and whose storage, fit, and budget preferences align with the available configuration and current local price. The specifications above describe the headset, but they do not establish how well it will fit an individual or whether its current price represents good value. Check current listings and consider whether you expect to use it standalone, with a PC, or both.

What accessories do I need for Quest 3?
No accessory in the categories below is universally required. Buy one when it addresses a particular need, and confirm the exact product listing identifies Meta Quest 3 as compatible.

A replacement strap is an optional way to change fit or support. Whether it helps depends on the wearer and their preferences; the headset’s manufacturer specifications do not determine which strap will feel comfortable. Razer announced a Quest 3-specific Adjustable Head Strap System in May 2024, with a launch price of $69.99 and stated availability in the US, Canada, and Europe. Those were vendor claims at launch, not confirmation of current price or stock. Razer’s announcement names the product and launch terms.

Razer’s May 2024 announcement also named a Quest 3 Facial Interface at a launch price of $69.99, with the same stated regions; current availability and price are not established by that announcement.
Carrying solution
A case or other carrying solution is useful only if you need to transport or store the headset in a particular way. Check that its dimensions and layout accommodate your headset and any strap or other add-ons you intend to leave attached.

Meta lists Quest Link by cable as well as Air Link, so a wired connection is an option rather than a universal requirement. A cable may suit a setup where you prefer a physical connection, while Air Link avoids one. Confirm cable compatibility and the requirements of your PC setup before buying a third-party cable.

Will my Quest accessories fit?
Do not assume an accessory for another Quest model fits Quest 3. UploadVR notes that compatibility differs between Quest 3 and Quest 3S; check the exact product’s compatibility information for the headset you own.
