The right Medieval Times ticket depends on the castle, show date, seating priority, and extras you actually want. Select the location and date first, compare the packages available for that performance, then verify any discount at checkout. For the best chance of sitting well within your selected section, arrive when doors open and keep everyone in one reservation whenever possible.
Prices, schedules, package features, promotions, parking arrangements, and available seats vary by castle. The guidance below explains what the official ticket information establishes and where you must confirm details for your specific visit.

Start with the castle and date
Location changes the answer
Medieval Times does not use one universal ticket menu. Each castle can show different prices, schedules, package availability, promotions, and premium performances. A ticket that is a good value in Chicago may not have the same price or benefits at another location.
Use the official booking flow to select your castle before comparing tickets. Check the exact show date as well: a promotion can apply to ordinary performances but exclude a designated premium show, and a package may be available on one date but unavailable on another.

Reserve before arriving
Reservations are strongly recommended because seating is limited. Waiting until the day of the show can leave you with fewer package choices or no suitable seats for your party. A reservation also gives the box office an order number to use if you need help with seating or a change.
Compare the total visit, not just the headline price
For each available option, record the total price for every guest, the package’s seating benefit, included food and drinks, keepsakes, discount restrictions, and the change policy. A cheaper ticket can be the better choice if you do not need VIP extras; a higher tier can make sense when seating position or included photos and cake matter more.
How Medieval Times seating works
Seating is first-come within your package
The official FAQ states: “Seating is first-come, first-served and will be assigned based on your package selection and group size.” In practice, your ticket tier determines the section or priority you bought, while arrival order and the size of your group affect the seats still available in that category.

Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Arrive when doors open. This gives you the best available choice within the section attached to your package and helps you avoid the entrance rush. It is not a promise of a particular numbered seat unless the package description for your castle explicitly makes a row or section guarantee.
Booking together is the simplest way to sit together
Put everyone in one reservation whenever possible. A single order lets staff handle the party as one group and avoids trying to match separate purchases after seats have begun to fill.
If you booked separately
Bring every order number to the box office on show day and ask whether the reservations can be combined. The official FAQ says sitting together depends on matching seating packages and on seats still being available. Separate reservations with different tiers cannot be treated as one seating group, and even matching packages do not guarantee adjacent seats.
Accessible seating
Accessible seats can be selected in the online ticketing flow or requested from staff when you arrive. Make the request as early as possible so the castle can accommodate the guest and any companion within the seating inventory for that performance.
What each ticket package includes
The package descriptions below come from the official Chicago listing and illustrate the differences. Features and availability are location-sensitive, so use the package text shown for your chosen castle as the controlling description.
| Package | Seating and access | Included extras | Who may prefer it |
|---|---|---|---|
| General Admission | Standard seating assignment within the selected section and group size | Tournament, four-course feast, and two rounds of select non-alcoholic beverages | Visitors who mainly want the show and meal at the lowest available package level |
| Royalty | Preferred seating and priority seating access | VIP cheering banner, plus the tournament and feast included with admission | Guests who value a better seating position and an interactive keepsake |
| Celebration | Preferred seating and priority access | Royalty benefits, VIP status, a party photo, and one cake slice per guest | Birthdays, anniversaries, or groups that want a photo and dessert included |
| Queen’s Royalty | Preferred seating, priority access, and the Chicago description’s best-seat guarantee: first row in any section or second row in center sections | Royalty and Celebration benefits, VIP status, premium framed photos, and cake | Guests for whom the stated top-row placement and premium keepsakes justify the higher price |
The Queen’s Royalty row promise above is the wording used on the Chicago page; do not assume another castle offers the same guarantee. “Preferred seating” also does not mean a specific numbered seat unless the local listing says so.
Which package is worth buying?
Choose General Admission when the show is the priority
General Admission covers the core experience: the tournament, a four-course meal, and two rounds of select non-alcoholic beverages. It is the logical baseline if your group is comfortable with standard seating and does not need photos, cake, or priority access.

Pay more for seating or keepsakes only when you will use them
Royalty adds preferred seating, priority access, and a cheering banner. Celebration adds VIP status, a party photo, and cake. Queen’s Royalty is aimed at visitors who specifically want the highest stated seating placement in the applicable listing and premium framed photos. Compare the incremental cost with the value of those particular benefits rather than assuming the most expensive tier is automatically best.

Check practical needs before upgrading
For a family with accessibility or dietary requirements, the ability to arrange those needs matters more than a banner or photo. For a celebration, the included cake and party photo may replace purchases you would otherwise make. For a large group, keeping everyone in one compatible package can be more useful than mixing tiers.
Discounts, coupon codes, and special rates
Use the castle-specific offers page
The official offers page tells you to select a castle to see current promotions. Enter the code during checkout and confirm that the displayed total changes before paying. Offers can have an expiration date, date exclusions, minimum requirements, or a restriction against premium shows.
Two dated examples illustrate why you must check the exact page. A Chicago location page viewed on October 13, 2026 displayed adult tickets at $76.95 and child tickets at $46.95, together with a 15% offer using code 15MT that expired December 31, 2026. The official homepage, viewed the same day, displayed an offer of up to 23% using code 5839MT that expired January 3, 2027. Those were page observations, not permanent prices or guaranteed savings for every castle.
Military discounts
The official military information covers U.S. and Canadian service members. U.S. tickets can be purchased at participating bases, where a Royalty upgrade is included, or through ID.me. Canadian Forces members have a separate discounted-ticket pathway. Eligibility, participating locations, and other restrictions apply, so have the required identification or account ready before checkout.
Recommended Free Tools
Group pricing
Groups of 15 or more can request group pricing through the venue’s groups inquiry. Ask before purchasing individual tickets if you are organizing a school, club, corporate outing, or family gathering; the group channel may have different availability and procedures.
Employer and member-organization rates
The official Drawbridge partner program provides eligible organizations with a dedicated employee or member ticket page at a preferred rate across all ten locations. This is an organization-specific benefit, not a universal public coupon. Use it only if your employer or membership group supplies access.
Children under three
A child younger than three may enter without a ticket only when sitting on an adult’s lap and eating from that adult’s plate. If the child needs a separate seat or meal, purchase a child ticket. Confirm the policy with the selected castle if your child’s age will change near the visit date.
How to buy without an expensive mistake
- Select the castle and show date. Confirm the performance time, package inventory, and whether the show is designated premium.
- Count every guest. Apply the under-three rule only if the child will use an adult’s lap and plate; otherwise include a child ticket.
- Compare package benefits. Read the local description for seating language, priority access, photos, cake, banners, and any row or section guarantee.
- Check eligibility discounts. Review the castle’s current offer, military or organization rate, and expiration date. Do not assume two offers can be combined.
- Enter party requirements. Select accessible seating if offered and provide dietary or allergen information requested by the ticket flow.
- Review the final total. Verify that the code applied, the castle and date are correct, and every guest has the intended package.
- Save every order number. Keep the confirmation available on your phone and send a copy to anyone who may arrive separately.
What happens if a code fails?
First check the spelling, expiration date, selected castle, show date, and package. A code can be valid for ordinary performances but blocked on a premium show. If the terms appear satisfied and the price does not change, do not assume the discount was applied; contact the castle or proceed only after the checkout total is clear.
Refunds, rescheduling, and cancellation risk
Tickets are generally non-refundable
The official FAQ says tickets are non-refundable. Treat the purchase as committed unless the venue confirms another arrangement under its current terms.
Rescheduling may be possible, but it is not free
You can request a different date subject to availability and applicable fees. The terms specify a $5 exchange fee per ticket for holder-requested rescheduling. That fee does not apply when Medieval Times reschedules a show after cancelling it. A requested date change is not guaranteed, so contact the venue as soon as your plans change.
Protect yourself at checkout
Double-check the date before payment, especially when using a dated promotion. If several guests are traveling together, make one person responsible for storing the confirmation and communicating any change request to the entire party.

Plan the meal and performance window
Allow more time than the fight itself
The FAQ describes the performance as approximately 90 minutes, while location pages commonly describe a roughly two-hour tournament experience. The difference likely reflects how each page counts the complete event. Plan around the castle’s recommended arrival and event window rather than scheduling another activity immediately after the advertised performance length.
Food and dietary requests
The experience includes a four-course meal. Vegetarian meals are available on request, and the purchase flow says most dietary restrictions can be accommodated while collecting additional dietary and allergen details for the castle. Because the reviewed information does not specify every substitution or allergy guarantee, contact your chosen castle directly for a serious allergy, cross-contact concern, or unusual diet.
Lighting and clothing
The show uses stroboscopic effects, which can affect guests sensitive to flashing lights. Castles are indoor and climate-controlled. Casual clothing is acceptable, but a light layer can be useful if you are sensitive to air conditioning.
Parking
All listed castles except Toronto offer free on-site car, bus, and accessible parking. Toronto has public parking lots on the grounds with seasonal rates. Verify the local parking instructions before departure, particularly for buses and accessible drop-off.
Optional themed merchandise
Venue gift shops carry medieval toy weapons and other souvenirs. A purchase is optional and not required for entry; availability and safety details for a specific item should be checked at the castle.

Before leaving
- Recheck the castle address, show time, and arrival time on your confirmation.
- Make sure the discount is reflected in the paid total rather than merely displayed in an advertisement.
- Carry all order numbers if any guests booked separately.
- Bring identification needed for a military or organization rate.
- Review the seating, accessibility, and dietary requests recorded for the reservation.
At the castle
- Arrive when doors open to improve your position within the package section and avoid entrance lines.
- Visit the box office immediately if you need to match separate reservations, confirm accessible seating, or clarify a meal request.
- Keep your party together while staff assign seats; late arrivals may have fewer adjacent-seat options.
- Follow staff instructions for the tournament, meal service, lighting effects, and any safety restrictions.
After the show
Allow time for your group to leave the seating area, collect purchases, and return to the parking area. If you need to change a future reservation, contact the venue promptly rather than waiting until the original show date.
What to do in common problem cases
Your group is split across reservations
Bring all confirmation numbers to the box office and request seating together. Staff can try to help only when the packages match and suitable seats remain. If one reservation has a higher seating tier, ask whether the group can accept the lower tier’s section or whether separate seating is unavoidable.
The promotion disappears at checkout
Check the code, dates, castle, package, and premium-show status. Save a screenshot of the offer’s terms, then ask the castle to verify eligibility before completing payment. Do not rely on a verbal estimate when the final total is different.
Your plans change
Because tickets are non-refundable, request a reschedule as soon as possible. Expect availability limits and the $5-per-ticket exchange fee for a holder-requested change. A venue-initiated cancellation is handled under different terms.
The preferred date is unavailable
Try another performance at the same castle or compare a nearby castle, then recalculate travel time, parking, package availability, and discounts. Do not buy a different date unless every guest can attend; the standard policy does not promise a refund for a missed show.
