MAVI has publicly launched a platform that matches US companies with vetted finance and accounting professionals from a global network. The company says it also manages onboarding, compliance and payments, while clients work directly with the professionals they hire. MAVI advertises onboarding in as few as five days and talent costs 50% or more below comparable US-based roles; those are company claims, not independently verified results.
What is MAVI?
MAVI is a business-to-business talent-matching service for finance and accounting work, rather than an accounting software product or an outsourced accounting team. The company says its professionals join a client’s team directly, while MAVI supports administrative tasks around the engagement. MAVI characterizes itself as “not a recruiter, staffing agency, or BPO”; that description reflects the company’s own model.

In its September 28, 2026 launch announcement, MAVI said its network included more than 3,000 pre-vetted professionals across more than 20 countries. Athena Club, MotherDuck and Within were named as customers. ChannelLife’s October 2, 2026 coverage reported the same network scale and customer names, and said MAVI had operated since late 2023 without a broad public launch. These are launch-era figures and names, not a guarantee of current network size or customer roster.

For companies hiring
MAVI says its matching system considers a role’s requirements alongside candidates’ skills, tools, experience and working style. Once a match is made, the professional works directly with the client. MAVI describes its administrative support as including onboarding, contracts, compliance and payments. It says engagements can be full-time or part-time.

The company advertises onboarding in as few as five days and cost reductions of 50% or more compared with equivalent US-based roles. These figures are MAVI’s claims; no independent comparison or customer-level outcome data is established here. Actual timelines and total costs will depend on the role, candidate availability and engagement terms.
For finance professionals
MAVI says interested professionals create a profile and complete technical, communication and behavioral screening. Accepted applicants join its network, but admission does not itself mean they will receive a job. When a possible role fits a person’s skills and availability, MAVI says it shares details and asks whether the candidate wants to proceed. Their profile is shared with a prospective client only with their consent.

The company says compensation is agreed in US dollars for the specific role, and that full-time and part-time arrangements are possible. Its target profile includes several years of relevant experience, familiarity with US GAAP, proficiency with AI and clear English communication. These are MAVI’s descriptions of its process and criteria, not an independent assessment of candidate screening or outcomes.

What should a company evaluate before using it?
MAVI’s model may be relevant to a company seeking international finance talent while retaining direct working relationships with its hires. Before comparing it with direct recruitment, staffing or outsourced services, clarify the practical terms of the engagement rather than relying on the launch’s speed and savings figures alone.

- Engagement and management: Confirm who directs the professional’s daily work and who is responsible for deliverables.
- Screening and consent: Ask what technical and communication checks apply to the specific role, and how candidate approval and profile sharing work.
- Role coverage: Check that the available experience and seniority fit the work, whether that is routine close support, FP&A or controller-level responsibility.
- Timeline and total cost: Get role-specific onboarding estimates and a full accounting of fees, compensation, contracts and payment responsibilities.
- Security and compliance: Review the controls relevant to your data, systems and jurisdiction. MAVI says it uses SOC 2-compliant cloud environments, US-based servers, secure virtual machines and access restrictions; those claims have not been independently verified here.
What the launch does—and does not—establish
The public launch establishes what MAVI is offering and how the company describes its operating model. It does not independently demonstrate candidate quality, actual hiring speed, savings, customer experience or security performance. The launch announcement was a paid press release distributed through PR Newswire and carried by Yahoo Finance; ChannelLife also reported contemporaneously on the launch.
MAVI’s company page cites industry figures including claims about CPA retirement, accounting-degree trends and AI adoption and governance in finance. Because the underlying AICPA, CPA Journal and Deloitte publications were not independently reviewed here, those figures should not be treated as independently confirmed market statistics.
