Separately, PS5 hardware dollar sales rose 17% year over year while unit sales fell 11%. Those console figures do not show that the game caused the spending increase.

This is a monthly chart position, not a lifetime sales total. The report gives no title-specific copy count or revenue figure, so third place cannot be translated into a number of units sold or, by itself, establish the game’s overall commercial success.
Monthly rank is not the year-to-date position
Push Square also shows a separate 2026 year-to-date top ten. Marvel Tokon does not appear in that displayed list. Its reported No. 3 spot applies to August alone; it should not be read as a year-to-date ranking.

- Face off against a friend locally or join the fray with up to 64 players in the online lobby, including standard VS modes. Plus, dive deep on each team with the single player Episode Mode to learn more about team dynamics and lore.
PS5 spending rose even as unit sales fell
In the same report, Circana figures show PS5 hardware dollar sales increased 17% year over year in August 2026, while PS5 hardware unit sales decreased 11% over the same comparison. These measure different things: dollars spent on hardware and the number of hardware units sold.
Push Square suggests price increases as a likely explanation for the split. That is an interpretation, not a confirmed cause in the figures presented, and the console-wide spending change is separate from Marvel Tokon’s software-chart placement.

What the report says about accessories
Push Square’s account of the Circana data also says the Midnight Black PS Portal was the third best-selling accessory in August 2026, and that Remote Play handheld sales rose 39% year over year. These are accessory and handheld-category observations, not additional measures of Marvel Tokon sales.

How firmly to read the ranking
The available account is secondary reporting on Circana, not a primary Circana release. Push Square notes that Circana relies substantially on projected sales and that major publishers, including Microsoft, no longer provide official data to the aggregator. The exact methodology and the estimated share, if any, for this particular game’s reported position are not established in the account.
Rank #3
- 30 vehicles official manufacturer, in 3 categories, UTV, ATV, Rock Bouncer
- 5 types of racing, off-road sprint, off-road track, mountain climbing, obstacle course, closed circuit
- Official manufacturers, equipment and sponsors
- A comprehensive career mode with team and calendar management
- Online races for up to 8 players
The careful takeaway is therefore narrow: according to Push Square’s report of Circana’s August chart, Marvel Tokon ranked third among U.S. software sales for that month. The rank offers no disclosed unit or revenue total, and the accompanying PS5 hardware figures do not explain the game’s performance.
