PlayStation has confirmed one date in the MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls Year 1 DLC plan: Phoenix Cyclops is scheduled to join the game on November 2, 2026. The pass promises four additional playable characters and one new stage, but the announcement does not reveal the other three characters or a complete release schedule.
What is the MARVEL Tōkon Year 1 DLC roadmap?
There is not yet a publicly announced full roadmap. PlayStation’s October 7, 2026 announcement identifies Phoenix Cyclops as the first Year 1 DLC character and gives his arrival date; it does not name the remaining fighters or date the stage. The official pass description covers the total content, not a complete lineup or calendar.

Confirmed: Phoenix Cyclops on November 2
Phoenix Cyclops is scheduled to arrive November 2, 2026, voiced by Ray Chase. His fighting style combines Optic Blast attacks with the Phoenix Force. His “Classic” and “Legacy” DLC costumes are scheduled for the same date. PlayStation’s October 7 announcement calls him the first DLC character.
Producer Takeshi Yamanaka of Arc System Works described the announced style this way: “Arriving on November 2, Phoenix Cyclops (voiced by Ray Chase) brings a unique fighting style that combines a wide variety of Optic Blast attacks with the devastating power of the Phoenix Force.” The announcement says the Phoenix interpretation was chosen to explore a different visual identity and fighting style for Cyclops, following a proposal from the narrative team during development.

Pass contents: four characters and one stage
PlayStation describes the Year 1 Characters & Stage Pass as including four additional playable characters and one new playable stage after launch. Phoenix Cyclops is the only character named so far. The other three fighters, the stage’s identity, and their release dates have not been disclosed in the official announcements cited here. When does the first MARVEL Tōkon DLC come out?
Phoenix Cyclops, including his “Classic” and “Legacy” DLC costumes, is scheduled for November 2, 2026. This is the only Year 1 DLC release date established by the October 7 announcement. No subsequent character or stage dates are specified in the official material cited above.

What does the Year 1 pass cost, and which editions include it?
On PlayStation’s US storefront, the standalone pass is listed at $34.99 and requires the base game. Digital Deluxe and Ultimate editions include the Year 1 pass; the Standard edition does not. The pass is downloadable content, not a separately verified physical product. Store prices can change, and regional prices may differ.

How to choose
- If you already own the base game, compare the standalone pass price with any current offer before buying; the pass listing requires the game.
- If you are buying the game now, Digital Deluxe and Ultimate include the pass, while Standard does not. Consider whether the editions’ other included content matters to you before comparing their total prices.
- Check the storefront for your region and platform. The figures above are for PlayStation’s US storefront, not a worldwide price list.
Which platforms and controllers are supported?
PlayStation lists PS5 and PC versions and cross-play. The announced US launch date was August 6, 2026; Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Korea had an August 7 date. The official game page provides platform information.
For controls, the official FAQ says PS5-compatible arcade sticks and leverless controllers can be used. PC players are advised to check compatibility with their particular hardware setup. The FAQ does not endorse a specific controller model.
