Discord Orbs are promotional rewards earned through Discord activities, mainly Quests. They are not cash-purchasable, and Discord’s current Game Shops documentation does not confirm that Orbs can be spent on Marvel Rivals items. Discord has documented Marvel Rivals promotions involving Nitro and Orbs, but those offers ended in September 2026.
What Discord Orbs are—and how Marvel Rivals fits in
Discord describes Orbs as rewards for completing Quests and other promotional activities. You can redeem them in Discord’s Shop for Nitro credits, items from its main collections, and other perks. Discord’s Paid Services Terms say Orbs cannot be purchased with cash or other real-world currency; Discord may also limit how many users receive over time or through activities.

Marvel Rivals items appear in a separate Discord feature: the Game Shop. The general Orbs Shop and the Marvel Rivals Game Shop are not the same thing. Discord’s current Game Shops FAQ explains how Marvel Rivals items are purchased and delivered, but does not establish that Orbs currently pay for them. Check the offer displayed in your own Discord account rather than assuming Orb redemption is available.

Complete eligible Quests
Quests are Discord’s primary way to earn Orbs. Each eligible Quest shows the action required and the reward. Check the Quest’s own details for its requirements and availability; not every Quest is necessarily available to every account.

Look for Orb Challenges
Discord also describes Orb Challenges, which award Orbs for specified actions on Discord. In the October 5, 2026 Discord Orbs FAQ, this feature is described as an experiment on desktop and browser, not a widely available program. Challenges can vary by account and may be limited-time or one-time, so their absence does not mean your account is malfunctioning.
Understand the Nitro-related earning terms
The FAQ says eligible Nitro subscribers receive a 1.2× multiplier on Orb rewards from Quests that started May 8, 2026. Nitro Basic and Nitro subscriptions paid through Nitro Credits are excluded from that multiplier. It also describes a monthly 250-Orb reward for Nitro subscribers who maintain a subscription, subject to the FAQ’s eligibility exclusions. These terms do not mean every Nitro plan or subscription route qualifies; check Discord’s current FAQ and your account’s offer before relying on either benefit.

Can you spend Discord Orbs on Marvel Rivals skins?
That is not confirmed by Discord’s current Game Shops FAQ. The FAQ describes Marvel Rivals Game Shop purchases and item delivery, while its documented Orbs offers concern earning rewards. It does not say that Orbs are currently accepted as payment for Marvel Rivals skins or other items.

What the September 2026 Marvel Rivals promotions offered
Discord’s Game Shops FAQ, updated September 18, 2026, records two limited-time promotions. Both windows have passed; they are historical terms, not active offers or a promise that the same promotion will return.
| Promotion | Who and what it covered | Dates and status |
|---|---|---|
| First Marvel Rivals item with Nitro | Selected users newly subscribing to monthly or annual Nitro could receive their first official Marvel Rivals in-game item free, provided its value was $20 or less. | September 4–11, 2026; ended. |
| Orbs for Game Shop purchases | Monthly or annual Nitro subscribers could earn Orbs on eligible Marvel Rivals Game Shop purchases. The reward varied with purchase total; gifted items did not qualify. | September 4–18, 2026; ended. |
The FAQ states the promotion dates in PT and does not establish broader eligibility beyond the listed subscriber categories and the selected-user condition. The past Orbs-on-purchase promotion should not be confused with ongoing permission to pay for Marvel Rivals items using an existing Orb balance.

How to find and claim a Marvel Rivals Game Shop item
- Open the Game Shop. Find it in Discord’s Shop tab or in a game’s official server. Discord says the full Game Shop experience is available on desktop and browser; mobile users may see embeds or listings.
- Select an item and review its details. Check the item, eligibility, and checkout terms shown for your account before proceeding.
- Link the correct game account when prompted. If no game account is linked, Discord prompts you to connect one during the purchase flow.
- Complete the purchase flow and claim the item in the linked account. Discord says the item is delivered to the linked in-game account.
Discord lists Marvel Rivals redemption on PC desktop platforms—Steam, Epic, and Loading Bay—and Xbox. For a PlayStation account that cannot receive an item, Discord says it may offer a refund if the buyer or gift recipient attempted to claim within 14 days. This is a possible refund path, not a guaranteed refund in every case.
If a Marvel Rivals item does not appear
- Restart Marvel Rivals and check the in-game account again.
- Confirm that Discord is linked to the correct Marvel Rivals account.
- Disconnect and reconnect the Discord connection, then check again.
- If the issue is that a PlayStation account cannot receive the item, review the Game Shops FAQ’s possible refund route and its 14-day attempt-to-claim condition.
These are Discord’s troubleshooting suggestions for missing items; they do not guarantee delivery if the linked account or platform is ineligible.
