What’s in The Siege of Castle Doom?
Steam describes The Siege of Castle Doom as the game’s second expansion. Its October 8 announcement names Doctor Doom and Invisible Woman as the two new playable characters and says a new game mode will arrive with them. The announcements do not provide further details about how that mode works.

Marvel first said in May that two paid DLC updates were planned for 2026. The second was then described as a Fall release with a new mode and additional playable characters. The October announcement supplies the title and November launch date.
When does the expansion come out, and what do you need?
Steam lists November 10, 2026 as the planned release date and says the expansion requires the base game, MARVEL Cosmic Invasion. At the time of the October 8 listing, the expansion was not yet available. Dotemu also announced a November 10 launch on PC and consoles.

Marvel’s May announcement named PC (Steam), Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox Series X|S for its 2026 DLC updates. The October sources confirm PC and consoles but do not enumerate every platform for this specific expansion, so check the relevant storefront for its current availability and price.
Could it build excitement for Avengers: Doomsday?
The connection is a reasonable inference, not a confirmed marketing plan. The expansion puts Doctor Doom at the center of its title and adds him as a playable character, while its planned November release places it ahead of the Doomsday period referenced in the film’s title. That gives the game a timely Doom hook for players following Marvel, but neither the game announcements nor Dotemu’s release announcement says the DLC was made to promote Avengers: Doomsday or identifies a collaboration with the film.
