Kabam’s official updates archive lists V59.0 release notes dated October 2, 2026; how that update affects these rankings has not been verified.
How to read this tier list
The six classes are Mutant, Skill, Science, Cosmic, Mystic, and Tech. Pocket Gamer publishes separate attacker and Alliance War defense lists, so this article uses its attacker list consistently. An attacker placement does not predict a champion’s strength on defense.

The S-tier names below are Pocket Gamer’s September 17, 2026 attacker picks. They are a useful starting point for comparing champions within a class, not a claim that every S-tier champion is equally effective or that every other champion is weak.

Why other tier lists may rank champions differently
There is no single official or universally accepted scoring formula behind these lists. Pocket Gamer offers class- and mode-specific editorial tiers. By contrast, mcoc.app’s October 2026 page describes a general-value ranking across game modes, averaging converted tier scores from Vega, Lagacy, MetalSonicDude, and Seatin. It says creator coverage varies by champion and reports a roster of 330 champions; that count is the site’s own, not an independently verified official total.
Because the lists measure different things and use different methods, a general-value placement should not be substituted for an attacker or Alliance War defense ranking. Treat rankings as informed reference points, not as a settled consensus.

How to choose whom to rank up
Use the tier as a shortlist, then compare candidates against the content and roster you actually have. A high placement alone cannot determine which champion is the best investment for your account.

- Match the role and mode. Decide whether you need an attacker, an Alliance War defender, or a champion for another activity; compare rankings made for that same purpose.
- Check practical utility. Consider the tasks and matchups the champion can handle in the content you play, rather than relying only on the tier letter.
- Account for investment. Awakening, signature level, and rank can affect usefulness. Check whether the champion’s value depends on an investment you can provide.
- Review Synergy needs. A champion’s fit may depend on teammates or a Synergy, so evaluate the team you can field rather than an isolated name.
- Weigh class matchup without treating it as the whole answer. Class interactions matter, but they do not by themselves settle a champion’s value for every encounter or mode.
