Maple Route and Canadian Immigration Rules: How to Check What’s Still True

Maple Route is described as a multi-agent AI for checking whether Canadian immigration claims are still current, but no official product documentation, accuracy figures, or detailed feature information could be verified. Treat it as a possible starting point—not as an authority. For a consequential answer, match the claim to the current Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) instruction for your program and circumstances.

What Maple Route can—and cannot—be verified to do

The available description presents Maple Route as a multi-agent AI intended to check claims about Canadian immigration rules. There is no verified official product page or documentation establishing its source coverage, privacy protections, accuracy, or specific functions. Nor is there a published accuracy or usefulness statistic or an attributable statement from a Maple Route spokesperson.

That means the premise is not evidence that the tool checks every rule, gives an authoritative interpretation, or can predict an application decision. Use any answer it provides to identify what to verify, then consult IRCC’s current instructions for the relevant program.

How to check whether an immigration claim is still true

  1. Pin down exactly what the claim says

Write down the specific rule, the program or stream, the applicant category, and the date or event that matters. A requirement may differ by permit, immigration stream, province, or filing date; a broad claim may be accurate in one situation and wrong in another.

  2. Find the matching current IRCC instruction

Use the official IRCC program page or tool that applies to that situation. Check that it addresses the same program and applicant circumstances rather than relying on a general article, an old post, or another applicant’s experience.

  3. Check dates and scope

Note the geography, application type, effective date, and any update date shown. If a rule affects eligibility or a deadline, follow the underlying official instruction and seek authorized individual advice when the application turns on personal details.

  4. Keep the answer in the right category

Decide whether you are checking a general eligibility rule, the status of an application already submitted, or an estimated processing time. These are different questions and require different IRCC information.

How to check the status of an IRCC application

IRCC’s status-check route depends on the application type and how it was submitted. Its official instructions describe account-based routes as well as the Client Application Status tool; some tool information is updated daily, while an account can provide messages and updates. Follow the application-specific directions on IRCC’s status page.

A status result concerns a submitted case. It does not, by itself, establish whether a general claim about program eligibility is current. To verify a rule, check the relevant program instruction separately.

How to read IRCC processing times

IRCC describes processing times as estimates, not deadlines. The department states: “They’re not a maximum or a guarantee.” Actual times can vary with application type, whether an application is complete, operational conditions, verification, security checks, and delays in receiving responses. Projections can change, so check the live IRCC processing-time page for the appropriate application type.

For context, IRCC’s May 28, 2026 committee material reported that approximately 52% of new permanent residents were approved within 12 months of submitting a complete application. That retrospective departmental figure covers April 2025 to March 2026; it is not a forecast for an individual case. See IRCC’s service standards and service-improvement material.

Processing-time figures can also use different methods. IRCC’s Express Entry Year-End Report 2024 says its historical measure refers to the period in which 80% of applications were finalized, and that permanent-residence processing times in that report are calculated on a six-month rolling period ending each respective year. That description is specific to the report; it should not be assumed to explain every live estimate. The 2024 report is useful context, not a substitute for the current estimate for your application.

What IRCC can tell you if you contact it

For an application in process, IRCC says its agents cannot provide more status information than is available online or tell you how much longer your case will take. Contacting the department is therefore not a way to obtain a private predicted decision date. See IRCC’s contact information.

When to get individual immigration help

If the answer depends on your personal history, documents, or eligibility circumstances, a general information page or AI-generated response may not resolve it. IRCC explains how to choose an immigration and citizenship representative, protect yourself from fraud, and check whether a representative is authorized. Use its representative guidance when you need case-specific help.
