TechRadar described the Aero as the first Freely 4K streaming box in a review published 13 July 2026; that is the review’s framing, not an independently established “world’s first” claim. Check the retailer’s live listing for the actual price, stock and offer expiry before ordering.
What the Manhattan Aero does
The Manhattan Aero is a 4K streaming box that adds Freely to a compatible TV. Freely streams live and on-demand television over home broadband rather than receiving Freeview through an aerial. The official Freely guide says an existing TV needs an HDMI port and broadband, and recommends at least 10 Mbps for live and on-demand streaming. See Freely’s official site for service and setup information.

TechRadar reviewer Harry Padoan described the Aero as “a practical streaming TV add-on with Freely built-in for loads of live TV channels, as well as most of the apps you’ll need — be that Netflix, Prime Video, or YouTube.” The review was published on 13 July 2026. It reported a £89.99 price and said the box was out of stock at Amazon when checked; neither figure confirms today’s checkout price or availability. Read the TechRadar Manhattan Aero review.

What is—and is not—confirmed about the deal
The exact retailer, advertised box price, previous price and expiry time in the headline are not established by the available reporting. A “lowest price yet” claim also needs a reliable price-history basis, not just a crossed-out price on a listing. Treat the offer as unverified until the retailer shows a live price and terms.

Freely’s official site advertised a different promotion: a Panasonic 43-inch W85 television for £449.99, reduced from £499.99 at Amazon for 6 and 7 October 2026. That was a TV promotion, not evidence of a Manhattan Aero discount. Check Freely’s official site for its offer details.
Is a Freely box right for your TV?
It may suit you if
- Your TV has an available HDMI port but does not already support Freely.
- You have home broadband and want live and on-demand TV without connecting an aerial or satellite dish.
- You want a streaming device that also provides access to popular apps; check the retailer’s current product listing for the exact supported apps.
Check these limitations before buying
- The TechRadar review says the Aero does not support Dolby Vision. If that HDR format matters to you, confirm the box’s display capabilities against your TV and viewing needs.
- The review says it cannot record Freely streams. If recording is essential, this is a material limitation.
- For an older TV, confirm it has HDMI and that its software or connections meet the device’s requirements. Freely’s official setup and advice pages cover getting the service onto a TV.
How the Aero compares with Netgem PLEIO
Netgem PLEIO 4K Puck is another device to consider if Android TV app access or additional services matter. T3’s 2026 coverage described optional PLEIO Extra features, including additional channels and cloud gaming. Those extras may involve a subscription, and current pricing and terms should be checked directly before purchase; historical articles do not establish today’s offer.
