The title says “Live Starts,” but EA’s current wording is “Manager Live.” EA’s public pages do not publish a complete list of which struggling clubs appear in it, so the reliable approach is to choose a scenario by its objective and time demands, then confirm the club in your own game. What Manager Live is, and how it differs from “Live Start Points”
EA’s September 14, 2026 launch update says Career Mode “continues to expand with new ways to play throughout the Season,” and that Manager Live returns at launch with new challenges, alongside Community Driven Challenges. EA’s September 30 mode overview places Manager Live inside Manager Career, describing it as a set of unique scenarios created by both EA SPORTS and the FC community. Those are the sources to rely on for the feature’s name and placement.

EA Help’s Career Mode guide also lists Live Start Points as a topic. That page does not explain the feature in enough detail to show it is the same thing as Manager Live challenges, so treat the two terms as separate until you see both in your own game. If a club scenario you want is labelled differently in your menus, use the label you see in-game rather than the one in this article.
The two launch challenges EA names
EA’s launch update gives two examples from a lineup that it describes as varied, with different objectives, time commitments and approaches. Both are about the opening of a save, which is where a struggling club is usually most exposed.

Read together, the two examples pull in different directions. Transfer Savvy tests whether you can turn your squad into cash without wrecking your options. Winning Start tests whether you can produce results immediately, which is harder when the squad is weak and the fixtures are not kind. EA does not describe either challenge’s starting squad, so judge the difficulty from the in-game objective and the squad you are given on screen.
Transfer Savvy: a market test
Editorial reading, not a tested outcome: a profit target in the opening window rewards selling players whose market value is higher than their value to your first-choice side. That only works if the sales are realistic, which connects to the market changes described below.

Winning Start: a results test
Editorial reading, not a tested outcome: the undefeated requirement makes early squad condition and rotation matter more than a long-term rebuild plan. A club that needs several seasons to recover is a poor fit for this kind of short objective.
Community and creator challenges
Manager Live is not only EA-made content. EA’s September 25 launch announcement describes community-made and curated Manager Live Creator Challenges, and the September 14 update names Community Driven Challenges. Community-made scenarios are the most likely place to find a bespoke rescue story, but availability can vary by version or platform, so confirm that a community scenario appears in your Manager Live hub before planning around it.

Why the rebuilt Transfer Market matters for a rescue
EA’s September 25 announcement says FC 27 rebuilds the Career Mode Transfer Market with active club bidding and realistic player values. For a struggling-club save this changes the plan. Assuming you can offload expensive players at inflated prices is less reliable when rival clubs bid actively and values are closer to real-world expectations. Build the budget around realistic sale prices, not the figures you remember from earlier FC titles.

- Open each challenge and read its objective, time frame and any stated time commitment before choosing a club.
