Can you charge a Mellif battery with a Makita charger? Mellif says its battery families require their matching Mellif chargers. Its green 18V replacement-battery listing says a Mellif charger cannot charge original Makita batteries and an original Makita charger cannot charge the Mellif battery. Do not infer charger interchangeability from a tool’s battery-fit claim.

Mellif identifies green batteries with Makita-compatible tools, grey batteries with DeWalt-compatible tools, and red batteries with certain Milwaukee-compatible tools. It says these color families are not interchangeable. Check the specific battery and charger instructions rather than relying on color alone.

Mellif’s battery and charger FAQ explains its battery-family and matching-charger guidance. Mellif also lists an 18V 4.0Ah replacement battery and charger and claims compatibility with Mellif Makita-compatible tools and Makita 18V power tools; those are Mellif product claims, not a universal charging endorsement. The listing’s charger restrictions remain relevant.

Check what comes in the box and whether the product is available
Mellif’s UK cordless dust blower listing describes the product as tool-only, without a battery. It advertises a brushless motor, up to 50,000 RPM, three adjustable wind speeds, and three nozzles; these are manufacturer specifications, not independently verified test results. When the listing was accessed on 2026-10-04, it showed the blower as presale, so availability may have changed.
Check the Mellif UK cordless dust blower listing. The collection also includes other products listed as Makita 18V-compatible, such as a jigsaw, sander, buffer polisher, soldering station, and pumps; verify the individual model’s current listing before relying on that compatibility.
