What does each accessory do?
A MagSafe wallet attaches to the back of a compatible iPhone to carry cards. A magnetic phone grip attaches to the phone to give you a place to hold it; some models also work as a stand. They solve different problems, so the better choice depends on what you want the accessory to do.

When should you choose a MagSafe wallet?

For example, Apple’s US listing for its iPhone FineWoven Wallet with MagSafe says it supports up to three cards and supports Find My. That capacity is specific to this wallet, not a standard for all MagSafe wallets: Apple’s FineWoven Wallet listing.

What Find My support means
Find My is not a feature of every magnetic wallet. Apple says a supported wallet paired with a compatible iPhone can show its last known location and notify you if it detaches. When should you choose a magnetic phone grip?
Pick a grip if holding your phone more securely in your hand or propping it up is the priority. Some grips do both, but verify the specific model’s stand and charging features rather than assuming they apply to every magnetic grip.

Do not assume compatibility is universal. Check the current product page for your exact phone, case, and accessory version before buying. The cited PopSockets listing includes an adapter ring for some non-MagSafe iPhone and case configurations; that is a feature of that listed grip, not a general solution for other magnetic accessories. The cited wallet listing and grip listing each identify supported iPhone models.
