The Wall Street Journal has reported that the market capitalization of the “Magnificent Seven” is approaching $25 trillion. The group named in the accessible excerpt comprises Nvidia, Apple, Alphabet, Microsoft, Amazon, Meta and Tesla. The figure is an attributed headline, not a live total: the syndicated page does not disclose its calculation or the time at which it was measured.
Which companies make up the Magnificent Seven?
The accessible excerpt lists seven publicly traded technology companies: Nvidia, Apple, Alphabet, Microsoft, Amazon, Meta and Tesla. The excerpt describes a strong session with the sentence, “It was a magnificent Monday for the tech stocks known as the ‘Magnificent Seven.’” It does not identify a named speaker for that line. What does “approaches $25 trillion” establish?
It establishes that the Journal headline attributes an aggregate market capitalization nearing $25 trillion to the group. The accessible page does not provide the exact total, calculation, share-class treatment or measurement timestamp. That means the headline should not be read as a verified, continuously updated figure or as a total independently confirmed by the available market snapshots.

It is not the same as revenue, assets, or the price paid in a corporate transaction. For a meaningful comparison, all seven companies would need to be measured using the same market-close time, currency, share-class coverage and market-cap methodology.

Why dated company figures do not verify the group total
A secondary market-analysis page from Stock Expert AI listed figures dated October 5, 2026: Nvidia at $5.79 trillion, Alphabet at $4.16 trillion, Microsoft at $3.90 trillion, Apple at $4.89 trillion and Meta at $1.90 trillion. The page names Financial Modeling Prep and Yahoo Finance as data sources. Those five figures are that page’s snapshots, not the Journal’s calculation, and they do not give a complete seven-company total. The page’s Apple comparison therefore cannot resolve the Journal headline’s undisclosed methodology.
Other third-party market pages also showed values for some companies around the October 5, 2026 close, but those snapshots likewise do not establish how or when the Journal arrived at its combined figure. Mixing separately sourced company values or dates would create a new calculation, not a validation of the headline.

How to read the figure as markets move
- Treat it as a dated news claim, not a live ticker. The accessible syndicated page does not say when the aggregate was measured.
- Keep the attribution attached. “Approaches $25 trillion” is the Journal headline’s wording; it is not an independently established current total here.
- Do not infer the missing methodology. The available page does not specify share classes, market close, currency or provider for the combined figure.
