The Android label identifies the operating-system family; no numbered Android release has been announced in the cited material.
MagicX Mini Dream AP specifications and announced price
Retro Handhelds reported on October 6, 2026, that MagicX had shared the AP configuration and full-device exterior renders. The report reproduces these specifications:

| Specification | Mini Dream AP announcement |
|---|---|
| Processor | D7300 |
| Memory and storage | 6GB RAM and 128GB storage |
| Wireless | Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4 |

The announcement names the processor only as “D7300.” It does not establish a more specific chip name, so that is the safest way to identify it. The memory-and-storage figures are presented together as “6GB + 128GB”; here, they are described as RAM and storage based on the configuration context. These details come from MagicX’s announcement as reproduced by Retro Handhelds, not from a retail listing or hands-on test.

Does “Android version” mean a specific Android release?
No numbered OS release is identified in the cited announcements. AP is the Android configuration label, but that alone does not tell buyers whether the handheld will ship with Android 14, 15, 16 or another release. A final OS build is not established by the available reporting.
How the AP fits into the Mini Dream lineup
An August 5, 2026 project update attributed to MagicX’s Discord described four variants. LL and LP were listed as Linux models with passive cooling, while AL and AP were listed as Android models with active cooling. The later October announcement supplies AP-specific processor, memory, wireless and price details. The earlier update gave specifications and pricing for the other three models as forthcoming, so details for AL and LP should not be inferred from AP.

Exterior renders and an announced configuration are not a substitute for a final product listing or hands-on evaluation. Anyone comparing the AP with another handheld should wait for confirmed availability and fuller product details rather than treating the announced figures as proof of real-world performance.
