To check whether your PC can run MAFATE, compare its 64-bit Windows version, processor, installed memory, graphics adapter, DirectX version and free storage with the full game’s Steam minimum requirements. Those minimums are Windows 10 64-bit, an AMD FX 8350 or Intel Core i5-2500K-class processor, 16 GB of RAM, a Radeon HD 7970 or GeForce GTS 680-class graphics card, DirectX 9.0c and 500 MB of free space. The separately listed demo has different operating-system and graphics entries, and its retrieved listing does not state RAM, DirectX or storage requirements.
What you need to compare
MAFATE has two relevant Steam listings: one for the planned full game and another for a downloadable demo. They are not interchangeable. The full-game page says, “This game is not yet available on Steam,” and gives a release date to be announced. The demo was listed as released on August 12, 2025. Until the full game is released, the published requirement table is the best available compatibility reference, not a guarantee that every computer meeting it will deliver a particular frame rate.

Check each category independently. A computer can have enough memory but an underpowered graphics adapter, or a modern graphics card paired with an operating system that does not match the listing. The store pages do not provide a target resolution, frame rate, tested configuration or benchmark result, so passing the minimum column only establishes that your specifications are at or above the stated baseline.

Full-game requirements published on Steam
The following values are copied as published for the full game. “Minimum” is the baseline Steam lists; “recommended” is the higher tier. The recommended memory entry is unusual and is preserved exactly rather than silently corrected.

How to interpret the 32 MB recommendation
The recommended row literally says “32 MB RAM,” even though the minimum row says 16 GB. That is internally inconsistent: 32 MB is far below 16 GB. The listing does not explain whether the unit is a typo or what value the developer intended. Do not convert it to “32 GB” in your own comparison, and do not treat it as a confirmed recommendation. Use 16 GB as the published minimum, record the anomaly, and look for a future correction from the developer or an updated Steam page.
What the table does not promise
No frame-rate or resolution target is supplied. A machine that meets every minimum may still need lower graphical settings, and a machine that reaches the recommended hardware tier is not promised a specific performance level. The figures are product requirements published by Steam, not independent testing on a range of computers.
Demo requirements are a separate set
The demo has its own Steam requirement panel. Do not copy the full-game RAM, DirectX or storage values into a demo checklist: those fields were not present in the retrieved demo listing.

The demo’s recommended operating-system line says Windows 11 64-bit, while both full-game tiers say Windows 10 64-bit. That difference does not establish that Windows 11 is required for the full game or that Windows 10 is unsupported by the demo beyond its own minimum line. Compare the edition and architecture shown for the product you intend to install.

Step 1: Check your Windows edition and architecture
Use Windows Settings
- Open Settings from the Start menu.
- Select System, then About.
- Under Windows specifications, note the edition and version.
- Under Device specifications, find System type. It should identify a 64-bit operating system for the full-game requirement.
“Windows 10” or “Windows 11” alone is not enough; architecture matters. A 32-bit installation does not match the full game’s stated Windows 10 (64-bit) requirement. If Settings is unavailable, press Win+R, enter winver, and note the Windows release, then use Settings > System > About for the system-type field.
Step 2: Identify the processor and compare its class
Find the exact model
- Open Settings > System > About and read the Processor line.
- Alternatively, open Task Manager with
Ctrl+Shift+Esc, choose Performance, then CPU. The model name appears in the panel. - Record the complete model, including its series and generation, rather than only the advertised clock speed.
The minimum names an AMD FX 8350 at 4.0 GHz or an Intel Core i5-2500K at 3.3 GHz, or better. The recommended row names an AMD FX-8350 at 4.0 GHz or an Intel Core i7-3770 at 3.4 GHz, or better. A newer processor is not automatically equivalent solely because its GHz number is higher; architecture, core design and sustained operation also matter. If your CPU is not one of the listed models, treat the comparison as an informed class estimate rather than an official pass/fail result.
Step 3: Check installed RAM
- In Settings > System > About, read Installed RAM.
- For a live view, open Task Manager > Performance > Memory. This shows total physical memory and how much is currently available.
- Compare total installed memory, not the smaller “available” number, with the requirement.
The full-game minimum is 16 GB. The recommended field is published as 32 MB and is anomalous; keep that wording visible in your notes instead of changing the unit. The demo listing does not state a RAM value, so there is no confirmed demo-specific threshold to check against. Close other applications before testing, but do not mistake temporary free memory for installed capacity.
Step 4: Identify the graphics adapter and video memory
Find every adapter installed
- Open Task Manager > Performance and select each GPU entry. Record the model name and dedicated memory.
- For a second view, right-click the Start button, open Device Manager, expand Display adapters, and record every listed adapter.
- If the PC has integrated and discrete graphics, note which adapter is connected to the monitor and which one the game will use. A laptop may list both.
The full-game minimum names an AMD Radeon HD 7970 or NVIDIA GeForce GTS 680, or better. Its recommended tier names an AMD Radeon R9 290X or NVIDIA GeForce GTS 780, or better. The demo additionally states 2 GB for each minimum graphics option and 3 GB for each recommended option. Those demo video-memory figures are part of the demo listing; they are not an extra published RAM requirement.

When your model is not listed
Graphics naming changes across generations, so a model number alone does not prove equivalence. Compare the card’s position in its generation and its dedicated video memory where the listing provides one. If the adapter is integrated graphics, or clearly below the listed Radeon and GeForce classes, the Steam page does not establish that MAFATE will run. Avoid treating shared system memory as dedicated graphics memory.
Step 5: Check DirectX
- Press
Win+R, typedxdiag, and press Enter. - On the System tab, find DirectX Version.
- Save or note the result before closing the diagnostic window.
The full-game listing specifies DirectX 9.0c for both minimum and recommended configurations. The retrieved demo listing does not state a DirectX requirement. A newer DirectX runtime shown by Windows does not by itself answer every compatibility question, but it does mean your system is not missing the named version family. If dxdiag reports errors, resolve the Windows or graphics-driver problem before using the result as a game-compatibility verdict.
Step 6: Check available storage
- Open File Explorer and select This PC.
- Read the free-space figure for the drive where you plan to install the game.
- Compare it with the full game’s 500 MB minimum or 2 GB recommended value.
These are unusually small published figures, but they still need to be available on the installation drive. Leave additional working space for Steam downloads, updates and temporary files rather than filling the drive to its last megabyte. Storage was not stated in the retrieved demo listing, so its page cannot establish a demo-specific amount.

Use a category-by-category comparison
Make a simple worksheet before deciding. Write the exact value reported by Windows beside the corresponding Steam value; do not rely on a general label such as “gaming PC.”

Every minimum category should meet or exceed the listed value before you describe the PC as meeting the published minimum. One missing or lower category is enough to make the result uncertain; Steam does not provide an exception list.

Meets the full-game minimum
Your PC fits the published baseline when it has 64-bit Windows 10, at least the named CPU class, 16 GB of RAM, at least the named graphics class, DirectX 9.0c and 500 MB free. This is a requirements match, not a performance promise. The page gives no guaranteed frame rate or resolution.
Meets the named recommended hardware
If your system reaches the recommended CPU and graphics classes, has 64-bit Windows 10, DirectX 9.0c and 2 GB free, it matches those published fields. The memory field cannot be used normally because the page says 32 MB despite a 16 GB minimum. Record that unresolved discrepancy instead of claiming a confirmed recommended-memory target.

Falls below one or more fields
If your operating system, CPU, RAM, GPU, DirectX result or free space is below the minimum, the listing does not establish that the game will run. Do not infer a guaranteed fix by adding RAM when the graphics adapter is the shortfall, or by freeing disk space when the processor is below the named class. Identify the failing category first, then consult updated developer information or the current store page.
Common points of confusion
Confusing the demo with the full game
The demo’s page is not a substitute for the unreleased full game’s page. It lists Windows 11 64-bit in its recommended line, includes graphics-memory amounts, and omits RAM, DirectX and storage. Keep two separate checklists if you are evaluating both downloads.
Reading “or better” too literally
“Or better” means the store expects an equivalent or faster class, but the listing does not define a benchmark score or a cross-generation conversion chart. A newer model may qualify while an older model with a larger clock number may not. For an unlisted part, label your result “uncertain” rather than presenting it as officially supported.
Checking only the CPU and GPU
Windows architecture, RAM, DirectX and storage are explicit fields too. A PC that passes the processor and graphics checks can still fail the published baseline because it has a 32-bit Windows installation, less than 16 GB of memory or insufficient free space.
Assuming a controller is required
Steam’s listing says the developers recommend playing with a controller. It does not list a controller as a system requirement. Keyboard and mouse ownership is therefore not a published compatibility condition, although control preferences may affect comfort.
A practical pre-install checklist
- Write down the exact Windows edition and confirm 64-bit architecture.
- Record the complete CPU model from Settings or Task Manager.
- Confirm at least 16 GB of installed RAM for the full-game minimum.
- Record every GPU adapter, selecting the discrete adapter when applicable.
- Compare the GPU with the Radeon HD 7970 or GeForce GTS 680 minimum class.
- Run
dxdiagand record the DirectX version. - Confirm at least 500 MB free on the intended installation drive.
- If evaluating the demo, use its separate Windows, CPU and GPU rows and mark RAM, DirectX and storage as not stated.
- Keep the “32 MB RAM” recommended entry visible as an unresolved listing anomaly.
After completing the checklist, your answer should be one of three precise statements: “meets the published full-game minimum,” “below or uncertain in one or more categories,” or “demo comparison incomplete because the demo listing omits RAM, DirectX and storage.” That wording reflects what the official pages establish without promising performance on an untested computer.
