Ludhiana’s district-stage competitions in the Punjab government’s Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan programme entered their fifth day on Thursday, 1 October 2026, after the block-level tournaments. A Hindustan Times report published on 2 October said the district events were being held at venues across Ludhiana, with sports department and district administration coordination. It reported that the competitions were scheduled to continue through 8 October; that was the schedule at publication, not confirmation that every event went ahead as planned.
What is happening in Ludhiana on Day 5?
The ongoing events are the district competitions of Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan, Punjab’s sports programme. Hindustan Times described the district stage as following the block-level tournaments and reported action at multiple Ludhiana-area venues. Its account, published 2 October 2026, calls Thursday the fifth day of competition.

How long were the district competitions scheduled to run?
The district sports officer was cited indirectly in the Hindustan Times report as saying competitions would continue across Ludhiana venues until 8 October 2026. The article did not publish a complete schedule, and the date describes the plan reported on 2 October rather than confirming later event status.
The Tribune had also reported on Day 4 of the Ludhiana district tournament. That provides additional event chronology, but does not independently verify the Day 5 winners listed above.
