Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteBoth characters are tied to Battle of Hulao Gate. For Lu Bu, reach 1,000 KOs and finish the battle successfully. For Diaochan, defeat her if she appears, then complete the battle. These specific requirements are reported by a guide published October 2, 2026; the publisher confirms the game uses battle conditions to unlock officers, but does not publish these characters’ individual requirements.
How to unlock Lu Bu
- Start Battle of Hulao Gate.
- Build your KO count to 1,000. Choose an officer you can use reliably against groups; the guide recommends prioritizing strong Attack and Musou capabilities.
- Complete the battle successfully. The reported requirement is not just reaching 1,000 KOs: the battle must also be cleared. A notification should confirm Lu Bu’s unlock.
The guide says difficulty does not matter, but presents that as its own understanding rather than a publisher-confirmed rule. Treat it as an unverified tip, not a guarantee.

How to unlock Diaochan
- Play Battle of Hulao Gate.
- If Diaochan appears, defeat her.
- Complete the battle; the guide reports that she then becomes available as an officer.
The available instructions do not establish what triggers her appearance, whether prior progress affects it, or whether her unlock requires the same run to meet Lu Bu’s 1,000-KO condition. No alternative route is documented.
What is confirmed about this remastered release
This guide concerns Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered, released October 1, 2026. The publisher describes the game as combining Dynasty Warriors 3 and Dynasty Warriors 3: Xtreme Legends, and says Musou Mode follows individual officers’ stories while new officers can be unlocked by meeting special conditions during battles. That general framework does not independently verify the specific Lu Bu or Diaochan steps above.
