What LTM reported for Q2 FY27
LTM announced its quarter ended in fiscal 2027 on 16 October 2026. Consolidated revenue from operations reached ₹11,807.6 crore (₹118,076 million), an increase of 13.6% from the same quarter a year earlier. Revenue was also 1.7% higher than in Q1 FY27.

Net profit did not keep pace with the top-line increase. Economic Times reported profit after tax of ₹1,379.9 crore, compared with ₹1,381.2 crore a year earlier, a 0.1% decline. Financial Express presented rounded figures of ₹1,398 crore versus ₹1,401 crore. The differing totals reflect presentation and rounding; both accounts show profit as essentially flat to marginally lower.

Why revenue grew while profit barely moved
The reported numbers show a wide gap between sales growth and earnings growth: revenue rose 13.6%, while PAT declined 0.1%. EBIT increased 11.5% year over year in the Financial Express account, but that operating improvement was not reflected in net profit to the same extent. The public reports cited for the quarter do not identify a single, quantified cause for the difference.
#1 Best Overall
For investors, the safest reading is that growth did not translate one-for-one into bottom-line earnings during this quarter. Factors below the EBIT line—such as financing, tax, other income or currency effects—can affect PAT, but LTM’s reported materials in the available coverage do not assign a numerical contribution to each item. It would therefore be inaccurate to attribute the flat profit to a specific cost without a detailed company reconciliation.
Sequentially, Financial Express reported that profit fell 4.6% from Q1 FY27 even as revenue increased 1.7%. That pattern makes the quarter’s margin and mix worth monitoring in the next results rather than treating the revenue increase alone as evidence of equivalent earnings momentum.

AI revenue is growing quickly
LTM said combined Enterprise AI and Business AI revenue grew 47% year over year in Q2 FY27. Chief executive and managing director Venu Lambu described the result as “broad – based performance” and linked it to the company’s AI-centric strategy.

Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →The 47% figure is a growth rate for the combined AI categories, not a statement that AI represented 47% of total company revenue. The reports supplied for this quarter do not provide a corresponding AI revenue share of the ₹11,807.6 crore consolidated total, so the size of AI’s contribution cannot be calculated from the published figures here.
Order inflow fell despite the revenue increase
LTM reported Q2 FY27 order inflow of $1.26 billion. That was below the $1.59 billion recorded in Q2 FY26 and the $1.68 billion in Q1 FY27. Order inflow is a measure of new business booked during a period; it is not the same as revenue recognized in that quarter.
This difference explains why strong current-period revenue and weaker bookings can coexist. Existing contracts and previously signed work can support near-term revenue, while a lower inflow may point to a softer pipeline for later periods if the trend persists. The available quarter reports do not provide a numerical conversion schedule from bookings to future revenue, so the timing and duration of any effect are not established.

Dividend and what it means for shareholders
LTM’s board declared an interim dividend of ₹25 per equity share for Q2 FY27. The announcement gives shareholders a direct cash distribution, but the information available here does not state the record date, payment date or dividend yield. Investors should check the company’s official exchange filing for those administrative details before relying on a calendar date.
The dividend does not change the fact that quarterly PAT was nearly flat. It is a capital-allocation decision alongside the operating results, not a measure of quarterly profit growth.

What the quarter means for LTM investors
Positive signals
- Revenue reached ₹11,807.6 crore and grew 13.6% year over year.
- Revenue still increased 1.7% sequentially, indicating continued near-term expansion.
- EBIT rose 11.5% year over year in the Financial Express report.
- Combined Enterprise AI and Business AI revenue grew 47% year over year.
- The company declared a ₹25 interim dividend per share.
Risks to watch
- PAT was down 0.1% year over year on the precise Economic Times figures and down 4.6% sequentially in Financial Express’s comparison.
- Order inflow of $1.26 billion was lower than both Q2 FY26 and Q1 FY27.
- Revenue growth therefore exceeded profit growth by a substantial margin.
- No numerical forward outlook was provided in the available quarter coverage.
Investors should track whether operating margins, net profit and order inflow improve together in subsequent quarters. A single quarter cannot establish whether the booking decline is temporary or the start of a longer slowdown, and the company has not supplied numerical forward guidance in the cited reports.
Bottom line
LTM’s Q2 FY27 was a strong revenue quarter but a nearly flat earnings quarter. The company delivered 13.6% year-over-year growth to ₹11,807.6 crore, while PAT slipped 0.1% to ₹1,379.9 crore. AI-related revenue grew 47% and the board declared a ₹25 interim dividend, but order inflow fell to $1.26 billion from both comparison periods. The key investor question is whether LTM can convert its current revenue and AI momentum into stronger margins and bookings.
