Love and Deepspace does not have one fixed installed size. For Version 6.0, the official update guide recommended at least 27 GB of free storage before installation and said players might need to download about 3.2–7.9 GB of additional resources. Those are update requirements—not a claim that the game itself is 27 GB. To reclaim space, start with the game’s Profile → Quick Cleanup, review deeper cleanup options carefully, and avoid uninstalling the client as a routine fix.
How much storage does Love and Deepspace need?
The latest relevant official update guide available as of October 4, 2026, is for Version 6.0, launched July 9, 2026. It recommends having at least 27 GB free before installing the update and estimates that approximately 3.2–7.9 GB of additional resources may need to be downloaded, depending on in-game resource conditions. The guide says the displayed requirement in an insufficient-storage prompt can help you decide how much space to free. Read the official Version 6.0 Client Update Guide (July 8, 2026).

These figures describe free working space and possible update downloads, not a universal total installed size. The game’s total storage use varies with client version and the resources downloaded on your device. The publisher explains: “Because of game resource decompression needs, the recommended free space size may differ from the actual download size.” In other words, the device may need room to unpack and install files as well as to download them.

Earlier update guides illustrate why package size, resource downloads, and free-space recommendations should not be treated as interchangeable. Version 5.0, in December 2025, listed approximately 5.3 GB of pre-download data, another approximately 500 MB–2.5 GB of resources for some players after replacing the client package, and about 2.2 GB for its new Home feature. Version 4.0, in July 2025, listed an iOS package of approximately 3.3 GB and an Android package of approximately 2.8 GB, alongside a 22 GB recommended free-space threshold. These are historical, version-specific figures; do not add them together to estimate today’s installed size. How to clear Love and Deepspace storage
- Run Quick Cleanup. From the main game screen, tap your profile at the top left, then choose Quick Cleanup near the bottom. Let the game scan its resources. The results are grouped into Recommended Cleanup and Deep Cleanup; select the categories or items you want to remove, or use one-tap cleanup if you are comfortable with the selections.
- Review Deep Cleanup before deleting. The official guide warns that removing Deep Cleanup resources may affect subsequent gameplay. Inspect what is selected instead of assuming every listed item is disposable.
- Check Manage Resource. From the bottom of the Profile interface, open Manage Resource to review and manage downloaded resources, including recommended content that may have downloaded automatically.
- Adjust recommended downloads if needed. Go to Settings → Feature and disable recommended downloads if you do not want that feature to download content automatically over Wi-Fi. After Version 6.0, Main Screen Voices became part of Recommended Downloads; Phone Call Voices can be managed and cleared.
- Remove personal content only if you no longer need it. Albums and Journals can be cleared from their respective features. Preserve or back up anything you value before deleting it; the official guide does not promise that every removed item can always be downloaded again.
- Use the storage prompt when an update cannot proceed. If the game shows an insufficient-storage message, use its Clear Cache button or free at least the amount specified in the prompt, then retry. Do not repeatedly tap Retry without freeing space first: an earlier official guide warned that repeated attempts could make the displayed requirement inaccurate.
- Leave the game open while it decompresses. After a download completes, keep the game open in the background during decompression. The Version 6.0 guide says closing it can prolong installation.
Menu names and download behavior can change between versions, so use the current in-game labels if they differ from these Version 6.0 instructions. The official cleanup and resource-management directions appear in the Version 6.0 Client Update Guide.
Should you uninstall the game to free space or fix an update?
Uninstalling should not be your first troubleshooting step. The Version 6.0 guide recommends overlay installation for the update and warns: “Uninstalling the old version may result in the loss of local data, such as photos not uploaded to the cloud.” If you are considering removing the app, first preserve personal content you want to keep and try the in-game cleanup and resource-management options.

What devices does the Version 6.0 guide recommend?
Storage guidance is separate from the guide’s device recommendations. For Version 6.0, it recommended iPhone 12 (A14) or later; iPad with A14 or M1 or later; and iOS 13.0 or later. For Android, it listed at least 6 GB RAM, Android 7.0 or later, and Dimensity 9000 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or later. For PC emulation, it recommended the latest MuMuPlayer. These are recommendations in that version’s guide, not guarantees of a particular storage footprint or performance on every device.
