Logitech Flow and ChromeOS Phone Hub solve different cross-device problems. Flow lets one compatible Logitech mouse—and, optionally, a linked keyboard—control two or three computers, with clipboard transfer between them. Phone Hub connects an Android phone to a Chromebook so selected phone functions appear on the Chromebook, including notifications, Chrome tabs, recent photos, quick commands and, on eligible devices, streamed phone apps.
Choose Flow when you need to move your pointer, keyboard input or copied content between computers. Choose Phone Hub when your Chromebook is the computer and your phone is the companion. Neither replaces the other: Flow is not a phone-integration feature, and Phone Hub does not provide one mouse and keyboard for several computers.

What each tool connects
Logitech Flow connects computers
Flow is a feature in Logitech’s device software. A compatible mouse is paired with each computer on separate Easy-Switch channels. Move the pointer to the edge of one display and it appears on the next computer; an option can require holding Ctrl while reaching the edge. Depending on the mouse’s Easy-Switch capacity, Flow can be configured for two or three computers.
A supported Logitech keyboard can be linked to the mouse, allowing keyboard input to follow the pointer to the computer you select. Flow can also carry copied text, images and files through the clipboard.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
Phone Hub connects an Android phone and a Chromebook
Google describes Phone Hub as a way to use selected phone features from the Chromebook screen. It can show phone signal and battery status, synchronize notifications, expose Chrome tabs, provide recent photos and screenshots, run quick commands such as enabling a hotspot, silencing or locating the phone, and stream phone apps when the devices and accounts meet Google’s requirements.
Phone Hub does not redirect a Chromebook’s mouse and keyboard to another computer. It also does not create Flow-style clipboard transfer between computers.

What Logitech Flow can do
Switch one pointer between computers
After configuration, move the pointer to the chosen edge of a display to switch computers. You can enable a Ctrl requirement if accidental edge switching is a concern. The mouse’s Easy-Switch channels determine how many computers can participate; the exact maximum is therefore model-specific rather than a universal Flow limit.
Bring a keyboard along
Flow can associate a supported Logitech keyboard with the mouse. When the pointer moves to another computer, the keyboard follows, so typing does not require pressing a separate keyboard switch each time. The keyboard must be supported and paired as part of the Flow configuration.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
Copy text, images and files through the clipboard
With copy and paste enabled, copy an item on one computer, switch through Flow, and paste on another. Logitech documents support for text, images and files. Transfer time depends on the network; a large file can take minutes rather than appearing instantly. The receiving computer also needs an application capable of opening the file.
Directly dragging a file from one computer to another is not supported. Use the operating system’s copy command, switch computers, then paste instead. If the destination lacks a suitable application, the transfer may complete but the file will still not open there.
What Flow does not do
- It does not turn a Chromebook into an Android-phone companion.
- It does not guarantee compatibility for every Logitech mouse, keyboard or operating-system combination.
- It does not provide drag-and-drop file transfer between computers.
How to set up Logitech Flow
Use these steps on every computer that will participate. Logitech’s setup and troubleshooting instructions are available at Logitech Flow setup and troubleshooting.
- Install Logi Options+. Install the current Logi Options+ application on each computer. Flow is configured in that application, not solely through the operating system’s Bluetooth panel.
- Pair the mouse on separate channels. Pair the mouse with each computer using Bluetooth or a compatible receiver. Select a different Easy-Switch channel for each computer so the mouse can identify them independently.
- Put the computers on the same network. Connect all participating computers to the same wired or wireless network. Flow uses the network for discovery and communication, even though the mouse itself may be paired by Bluetooth or receiver.
- Enable Flow on each computer. Open Logi Options+ on each machine, select the mouse and turn on Flow. Arrange the on-screen computer positions so the pointer crosses the intended physical edge.
- Choose the switching behavior. Use ordinary edge switching or require Ctrl while reaching the edge. Test both directions before relying on the arrangement.
- Link a keyboard if needed. In the Flow configuration, select a supported Logitech keyboard and pair it with the participating computers. Confirm that typing follows the mouse after a switch.
- Enable copy and paste only if required. Turn on the clipboard option, then test a short text selection, an image and a small file. A test reveals whether security software, network policy or the destination application blocks the operation.
Flow prerequisites and conditions
- Every computer needs Logi Options+ and a supported mouse; a linked keyboard must also be a supported model.
- The mouse must be paired to each computer on its own channel.
- All computers need network connectivity and must be discoverable to one another.
- A workplace or school network may block the discovery or communication Flow requires.
- A sleeping computer, a computer waiting at its login screen or one disconnected from the network may not respond to Flow.
Flow troubleshooting by symptom
| Symptom | Checks and remedy |
|---|---|
| The pointer will not cross to the other computer. | Wake and sign in to both computers, verify network connection, confirm both are on the same network, and check that Flow is enabled in Logi Options+ on each machine. |
| The computers do not discover one another. | Test a less restricted network. Corporate or school firewall rules can prevent discovery; contact the administrator rather than disabling security controls indiscriminately. |
| The keyboard stays on the old computer. | Confirm that it is a supported keyboard, paired on each computer and linked in Flow. A mouse channel change alone may not establish the keyboard relationship. |
| Copy and paste fails. | Confirm the clipboard option is enabled, keep both computers awake and connected, and try a small text item first. For files, verify that the destination has an application that can open the format. |
| A large file appears stuck. | Allow for network-dependent transfer time; Logitech notes that large files may take minutes. Avoid treating a delayed transfer as proof that the feature is unavailable. |
Enhanced Easy-Switch is not the same as Flow
Logitech’s Enhanced Easy-Switch guide describes a separate feature. It makes a supported mouse follow a supported keyboard when you switch computers with the keyboard’s Easy-Switch key. The devices must be manually paired on each computer, and Logi Options+ must be installed on the receiving computers.

Enhanced Easy-Switch is currently documented for Windows and macOS. Logitech expressly says it does not support copying and pasting text or files. Switching with the mouse’s Easy-Switch button also does not make the keyboard follow. Do not use Enhanced Easy-Switch instructions to infer Flow clipboard support, and do not assume that a Flow setup has the same operating-system coverage.
What ChromeOS Phone Hub can do
Show phone status and run quick commands
Phone Hub can display the connected phone’s signal and battery information. Its quick commands include enabling the phone’s hotspot, silencing the phone and locating it. These controls are useful when the phone is nearby but out of reach; they do not expose every Android setting.
Bring phone information into ChromeOS
You can browse Chrome tabs from the Android phone, synchronize or control notifications, and access or download recent photos and screenshots. The feature is selective: it surfaces the categories Google lists rather than mirroring the entire phone interface.

Selected devices running Android 13 or later support Phone Hub app streaming, subject to additional setup and permissions. Google cautions that digital-rights-management policies can affect entertainment apps, so an app that works normally on the phone may not stream to the Chromebook. Phone Hub can work while the Chromebook is offline
Google’s Phone Hub guide says Phone Hub features can still be used when the Chromebook is offline, although app streaming has extra requirements. The phone itself and the Bluetooth or account relationship still need to be available for the particular action.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Phone Hub requirements and setup
Google’s Phone Hub setup and use guide lists a Chromebook running ChromeOS M89 or later and an Android phone running Android 5.1 or later for the features covered on that page. Those are not a promise that every newer capability works on every device.
- Check versions. Confirm the Chromebook’s ChromeOS version and the phone’s Android version. If app streaming is the goal, check for the Android 13-or-later device support Google specifies.
- Open connected-device settings. On the Chromebook, use ChromeOS Settings and its connected-device or Android-phone section to begin pairing. Labels can vary slightly by ChromeOS release.
- Pair the phone. Keep Bluetooth available and follow the on-screen pairing and account prompts. Use the same Google account relationship requested by the setup flow.
- Choose Phone Hub features. Enable the notification, tab, photo and command options you actually want. Grant permissions on the phone when prompted; without them, a category may remain unavailable.
- Configure app streaming separately. If the Chromebook and phone qualify, complete the additional permission and setup steps shown for app streaming. Test a non-DRM app before assuming entertainment apps will work.
- Test away from the desk. Check notifications, a recent photo, a Chrome tab and a quick command individually. This isolates a permission or policy problem from a general pairing failure.
Do not confuse Phone Hub with the broader connected-phone feature list
Google’s separate connected Android phone guide documents additional functions: chat-notification synchronization, sending and receiving text messages on the Chromebook, connecting the Chromebook to the phone’s network and unlocking the Chromebook with the phone. That guide gives ChromeOS 71 and Android 6 as its minimums. Keep those requirements attached to that guide; they are not a universal minimum for every Phone Hub feature.

Compatibility and purchase checks
Before buying hardware for Flow, identify the exact mouse model, its Easy-Switch capacity, supported operating systems and whether the keyboard you want can be linked. Logitech’s getting-started material for the Pebble Keys 2 K380s names the Pebble Mouse 2 M350s as an example in a Flow setup: Pebble Keys 2 K380s getting started. That example is not a blanket compatibility guarantee for every Chromebook or every software version.
For a Chromebook, verify two things independently: whether the Logitech hardware and Logi Options+ workflow support that computer, and whether the Chromebook’s own policies allow the software and network behavior Flow needs. The available Logitech documentation does not establish a current ChromeOS-specific compatibility matrix for every Flow mouse-and-keyboard combination, so check the model’s current support page before purchase.
Privacy, network and reliability considerations
Flow depends on the local network
Flow’s convenience comes with a network dependency. A segmented office Wi-Fi network, guest network, firewall or sleep policy can interrupt discovery or switching. Clipboard transfers also traverse the connection between the computers, and their speed is limited by network conditions. Use a trusted network and follow organizational policy rather than attempting to bypass controls.

Phone Hub exposes only the phone data and controls you authorize. Notification, photo and app-streaming permissions can be granted independently. A managed Chromebook or phone may suppress these options even when the operating-system versions are new enough.
Test the exact workflow you need
Feature labels can look similar while their boundaries differ. Test the specific action—file paste, keyboard following, tab access or app streaming—on the exact devices and accounts you plan to use. A successful mouse pairing does not prove Flow clipboard support, and a successful Phone Hub pairing does not prove app streaming.
Bottom line: choose by device relationship
Flow is a multi-computer input and clipboard system: a compatible Logitech mouse moves between computers, an eligible keyboard can follow, and copied text, images and files can cross through the clipboard. Phone Hub is a phone companion for ChromeOS: it brings selected Android status, notifications, tabs, photos, commands and eligible app streams to a Chromebook. Decide whether your second device is another computer or an Android phone, then verify the model, operating-system, network and management requirements for the feature you intend to use.
